In what caused a double moment of “huh?” from this blogger, Robert Pattinson has been named as the U.K. GQ magazine’s best dressed man of 2010. Yes, you read that right – 2010. We’re only six days into the year and he’s already won the title! That was the first thing that had me scratching my head. But the double take came from the fact that we have heard many of those who know Rob well, including Kristin Stewart and Catherine Hardwick, talk about how Rob will throw on random bits of clothes he found lying on the floor simply because he can’t find anything to wear! I guess this proves that it pays to not worry about what is “cool” and just dress the way you feel comfortable! Pattinson jumps a whopping 38 places on this years list based mostly on his popularity and fan appeal. The site even provides you with a “how to” guide for the guy who wants to dress like Rob.

Think it is for 2009. Saw it on a list somewhere, can’t remember exactly where I saw it. They say it is because of how sharp he dresses at red carpet events, not for everyday.

Honestly, I prefer him in his street clothes. Nothing wrong with him in a tux, but I’d rather see the dirty look!

Most people Twihards and others ask me why I think he is so sexy. Yes I am a gay man but here is my opinion (for those who care). Rob is not the obvious sexy, he is that odd beauty. There is just something about him that makes him different. The roles he picks and the way he is about the public eye. He doesn’t flaunt what he has and that is what makes him charming.
Girls I will admit that I watch people go crazy for him and the whole drama of whether him or Kristen are dating and just shake my head. Yes I love Rob and Kristen both but really do we not have anything better to do but to invade other peoples business.
I hate shows like TMZ and things OK Magazine. Why is it we care so much about other people’s lives. Is yours that sad that you have nothing better to do? I say let them live a life and leave them alone. If you love them so much show by buying the tickets, the t-shirts, the posters and stuff like that. Don’t sit there and ask them him to bite you that is just stupid.
P.S. I do have the blanket of New Moon which my boyfriend doesn’t let me bring to bed, and I have the posters and the t-shirts. I am a huge fan of the books which I have lost count of how many times I have read them. I am just not going staulkerish about the man.
Well written! I haven’t bought an Edward blanket yet mostly because I refuse to hear my husband grown every time I use it!
I got the Edward blanket for Christmas because my husband made the mistake of deciding we should each buy our own gifts this year. (Hell, after 16 years, gifts are not a priority.) He thinks it’s hysterical. As for Rob’s wardrobe? He could wear a barrel with straps and I would be happy. (My husband thinks that’s hysterical too.)
I think they want to sell their magazine. I love his throw it together look & the suave, classy look. I’m getting out my Edward blanket right now!

Very stylish suits/tuxes for the red carpets and ‘bigger’ events (eg in Tokyo, LA, Cannes, Oscars) and a more casual, throw-it-together look for stuff like MTV Awards, etc.

Totally agree! Just because he looks nice on the rare occasions he’s forced into a tux, doesn’t mean that he should be called “Best dressed”. I think it’s just another media outlet jumping on the Twilight bandwagon.
I can’t think of another Twilight guy that dresses worse than Rob, because the rest of the cast manage to put some thought into what they wear.
I’m not saying he should try harder. If he wants to look unkempt, that’s his business. But it’s pretty tragic that they want to call what he throws on his “personal style”. Anyone else would just call it “laundry” (including Rob!)

This is so funny! He’d be the first to admit he wears the same clothes every day, like the 10 yr old Stoli shirt, lol. When he does get dressed up, he looks awesome, but that’s because he’s an awesome looking man!
How to dress like Rob: Pick stuff up off your floor, dust off, wear.
And if you’re pressed for time? Skip the dusting off part. LOL! Clothes don’t make the man. Rob is hot, hot, hot no matter what he wears.
