MTV: Kristen Stewart Ups and Downs of Fame

  1. dee says:

Okay, so someone needs to take her for…a walk? I really have to ask- is there somewhere she can go for training on how to talk? There has to be! And I’m sorry but you can’t go for walks because people would “bother” you? That’s just silly! My God. They really believe there own Hype! She is right about one thing- being in twilight movies will open her up to more TWEEN movies…and that’s about it. Unless she gets training on how to act too. Hmm. Maybe there is a book…acting for dummies! Look it up “KStew” ;)

    • Julie M. says:

Wow! Your comments are really rude. She’s trying to say she would just like to go out for a walk and not have the paps in her face. Jeez! Her interviews have been awesome! AND she is a great actor. She will definitely be making more than just “Tween” movies. You obviously haven’t see her other movies, because they deal with serious suject matters. Let’s see, how about “Speak?” or “The Cake Eaters?”

    • Maya says:

Wow dee, u seem to know her life better than she does. If she says she isnt really able to go on walks, who are you or anyone to contradict? With the hype of Twilight i can understand she cant go outside without paparazzi following all the time, people on the street recognizing her and trying to talk to her. One, two three persons on a walk is ok, but if it happens over and over again that just gets annoying. She also said that ofcourse she can take walks, but that its not the same anymore as she was used to before. And THAT i completely believe and understand. Also, tween movies? I think not. She isnt the product of disney and doesnt play the ordinary teen in Twilight.I believe we’ll see this young woman in mature, serious movies. She never plays ur typical highschool character and with her matureness and strong personality she will get offered serious parts, im sure!

And Dee, about her not knowing how to talk properly.. Every person is different, and has their own ways of dealing with things. I have liked her from the beginning for her intelligence and the fact that she actually thinks her answers through. The fact that it looks a bit awkward when she answers a question in my eyes is adorable : )
She has improved in interviewing since Twilight and for that she gets props!!

    • Jadey says:

      Dee, you are so ignorant.
I know whatever I say won’t go through your thick head, but I’ll try.

First off, there is nothing ‘tween’ about this story. Heartache, death, revenge, violence, depression.. there is nothing tween about that my dear.

Keep in mind, she is Kristen Stewart. Not Dee’s idealisation of Kristen Stewart. She’s herself, shes not who people want her to be. Live with it.

Tip: Watch some of Kristens other movies, then come back and say she can’t act. I doubt you’d be able to say it.

I’m not going to even try to explain why she can’t go for a walk because its obvious why she can’t.

Get off these sites, grow up and come back when you can actually write a paragraph that makes sense.

    • michelle says:

no way dude i totally agree with dee. that girl needs to learn how to speak coherently. shes always stuttering and every time i watch one of her interviews im just thinking to myself “wtf did she just say?” listening to her talk is like trying to decipher a puzzle by trying to piece together phrases she says between stutters. when she was first picked to play bella, i was rooting for her, i really was. but then i heard her speak. still, i had faith and thought she’d be able to pull through and make a decent bella. then i saw her act. all hope was lost.

  2. Misfit says:

Alright Kristen another interview and not bad either. I hear you Dee but I think this is the most jumbled she is been recently so she is working on it this might have been an older interview sat on until the release of this movie to get my views to MTV.

    Misfit.

  3. Carrie says:

She has this much fame and cant she cant talk in complete sentences and use correct grammer???? Wow. Thats pretty pathetic. Forget going on walks she needs to go back to a English class!!

    • Julie M. says:

Wow! More rude comments. So pathetic! So fame=being able to talk in complete sentences? So what if she stumbles. She’s human. Grow up!!

    • Jadey says:

Carrie, it’s grammar.. not grammer. Stop being a hypocrite.

And I guess the reason she can’t talk in complete sentences is because she thinks about what she says, and If she knows it won’t come out the way she means, she stops and starts again.
She THINKS about what she says, rather than saying some cookie-cutter answer to keep everyone happy.
Hmm.. I think they call that.. intelligent?

The ignorance & arrogance of people that use this site stuns me.

    • switzgal says:

Ok if you’re going to criticize a person for “grammer” you should know how to spell grammar and also when you have a word that starts with a vowel you use “an” not “a” so .. “an English class” not “a English class”

Sometimes I think Kristen is trying so hard to get her point across that she jumbles her thoughts at times.

  4. FebruaryFilly says:

Larry Carroll JUST did this interview with her (and the other cast pieces) this past weekend. And in watching her interviews throughout the long weekend, just in those few days her answers are much clearer and well thought out. I think this is a great one of hers.

And its not a matter of people “bothering” her on a walk. Try HOUNDING, completely surrounding her, blinded by flash bulbs, fans screaming so loud she can’t hear herself think, a crowd so thick in front of her she can’t see the path she’s walking on, jumping out at her, jostling her every step. We’ve seen the damage a group of hungry paparazzi can do – look at Princess Di. It’s a loooooong way from being able to go outside for a nice quiet, reflecting-on-her-day, kind of walk to grab some coffee. I think you guys greatly take that for granted since you don’t know the other side of it.

  5. Maya says:

    • K says:

Ok, if you want to disagree, thats fine, once is enough…Dee has a right to her opinion like everyone else. Not everyone is crazy about K. If you jump on everyone for a opinion that differs from your own people will stop giving their take on things, we should really stick to giving ‘our’ own opinions to the articles and interviews.

  6. sillygirl says:

Really you guys? Think about how many interviews these people have done in the last few days. Think about the fact that they get asked the same questions over and over and over again. I’m just surprised that she doesn’t look completely strung out and exhausted by this point.Give her and the rest of the cast a break. We aren’t the poor souls be hounded by obsessive paps and fans, so how could we possibly be in a position to judge anything? She is probably just running on auto pilot right now, and I don’t think her answers were bad at all. They were very truthful.

  7. dee says:

I realize that posting on a Kristen site would get me some “how rude of you” replys, but c’mon this is a site for TWLIGHT THE BOOKS…or it started that way! Do I like her? No. Do I have reasons? Yes. The person she puts out to the media is one that shows like of class and there is almost an air of ‘I’m doing you a favor by talking to you’ Maybe she isn’t trying to put that out there, but that’s what is coming out. I think for me what really did it was when I saw two little girls ask her to sign something (i’m thinking they were about 7) and she didn’t say one word to them, didn’t smile or try to show any kind of sweetness. The looks on those kids faces did me in. I don’t care if you were having a “off” day- this is what you get paid (and very well) to do! Show yourself in a better light. Don’t cuss and act like you have all the answers. No one does! It makes me sad that young girls are looking to her as a role model. So, sorry if you don’t like what I say..but it’s how I feel and won’t change.

    • Jadey says:

      You make me sick

    • Beth says:

I know everybody has basically been saying the same thing…this is just Kristen and how she talks and who she is (so I won’t rehash it) I like her for it, I think it adds to her charm and seperates her from other actresses her age. She has said herself that she sometimes thinks to much about what to say or not to say and comes across differently than she feels/intended. At least she is giving honest answers and not giving a “rehersed” sounding answer that sounded like it was typed up by a publicist and practiced in front of the mirror for five hours! Also, in interviews done about her, it is frequently stated that she is rather shy. Often shy people get mistaken for being snobby and shy people usually aren’t pros at public speaking! So give her a break. As for the two seven year old girls…I personally think they are a little young to be fans of the books/movies and agree with Julianne on the subject. They shoudln’t have been there. And from other accounts I have read about or people have talked about, Kristen is sweet and nice to her fans that she does come into contact with. So Dee, try giving her the benefit of the doubt and maybe you’ll someday think differently!

  8. Julianne says:

    My two cents:

1)I have a 7 year old…I wouldn’t expect someone that age to be asking for autographs unless I prompted them to do that. That’s about the mom/parents, not the kid.

2)I don’t envy those press junkits. They answer the same questions over and over, I can only imagine how jumbled you can get, and how you try to come up with a different answer.

3)I live in LA, I know and have seen people/actors/athletes who can’t live life normally because well-meaning people, not just the paps, won’t respect peoples “space”. Some can’t understand that people would like to go to restaurants, eat dinner, buy underwear, etc and not be constantly interrupted and asked to sign whatever scrap of paper stuck in front of their face. And if they don’t act thrilled to do so, they’re the jerks! Unreal.

So, act and feel how you may, I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind. But until you walk a mile in someone’s shoes, you have no right to be THAT opinionated. And…at the ripe old age of 19…lots of expectations you’re heaping on an actor – someone who gets paid to pretend to be someone else. THAT’s her job, not to fill in as a role model for parents who can’t or won’t provide their kids with appropriate expectations and perspectives.

  9. Donna says:

Ok…I read all the comments before I watched the video. Backwards, I know…but I do that alot.

And…good lord! What is everyone so upset about? This is a typical Kristen interview. Nothing new there. This is the way the girl talks!

I thought it was going to be terrible! It wasn’t. She’s a very disjointed speaker, and my mother was the same way. She said it was because her mind was moving faster than her mouth could speak her thoughts!

I don’t see the reason for all the hate, Dee. Some people are better speakers than others. That’s just the plain and simple truth. Look at Taylor Lautner. Everything the guy says is perfect and sweet and well thought-out. His interviews are BORING!

Kris’s are NEVER boring, that’s one thing we can all agree on! LOL

    Give her a break guys…come on…

  10. Matt says:

Dee, I completely disagree with you. Imagine having to answer the same questions over and over for long hours. Imagine the paparazzi snapping photographs of you doing something as normal as ordering a drink in Los Angeles.

  11. safina says:

Everyone really needs to relax over here. I couldn’t watch the video, but I did read all the comments.

We’re Twihards, guys, we’re supposed to stick together, and not contradict each other.

Kristen is very young, so it’s quite normal for her to make mistakes. Nobody is perfect. She’s allowed to feel nervous and get tired of answering the same old annoying questions.

If someone doesn’t agree with this, you don’t need to make them understand anything. It’s their opinion, so just let them express themselves and ignore them.

  12. dee says:

Oh dear god. How many times are people going to say the same thing about the way she is “She was having a bad day” “She is young” Look at young people like Emmy Rossum. Emma Watson. Ashley Greene- Just to name a few. When they talk to the press it doesn’t make you wanna slap them. You walk away from it thinking they are well rounded, sweet young woman. And the commmet someone made about it being the parent who asked the girls for her to sign something- that wasn’t ever the point! ;/ I was speaking to someone who went to Comic con and said she wanted to punch Kristen because of her attitude. All I am saying is that I have yet to see one thing about her that tells me she is a genuinely nice person. Now, I am over talking about this…talk amongst yourselves :) p.s. Thank you to the ones that don’t feel the need to try and change the way I feel!

    • Matt says:

That’s what I like about Kristen: she’s genuine. If you’ve seen the private photographs of Emma Watson, wasn’t there one of her drinking alcohol at a party a few years back? Kristen doesn’t try to sugarcoat her personality.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing many interviews of Kristen, and she has never come off as rude. It’s just her way of talking. Always has been. Cast mates have had nothing but positive things to say about Kristen.

    • Matt says:

Furthermore, Dee, you sound pretty rude and judgmental yourself.

“Now, I am over talking about this…talk amongst yourselves”

Sounds pretty arrogant of you, Dee.

“All I am saying is that I have yet to see one thing about her that tells me she is a genuinely nice person.”

Kristen personally attending an event for cancer was genuinely nice of her. There’s your “one thing”, Dee.

    • Matt says:

Oh, and I’m willing to admit that some screaming fans are pretty inconsiderate when it comes to the privacy of these individuals when they are not acting. I’d have a hard time smiling after hearing all of that tabloid trash and the incessant screaming in my ears.

    • Matt says:

I just listened to the above interview, and Kristen was very nice, especially with her comments near the end. Talk about exaggerating, Dee. Good Lord.

    • Matt says:

I’m glad that Kristen doesn’t have some sugary sweet voice and plastered, marketed smile. She’s just herself. She dresses normally. She talks normally. She’s so genuine.

Kristen, realistically, cannot accommodate the requests of each and every fan. One of my friends was able to meet her at event last year for less than a minute, but he told me that she was very nice to him, and even smiled for a picture on his camera before having to move down the line. She was very lovely.
