According to the magazine’s editor Julian Linley, “[Robert]is obviously very easy on the eye, but a lot of his popularity has to be down to the character Edward he plays in Twilight – strong, brooding and tortured, basically most women’s fantasy boyfriend”.

I understand why He(Robert) would be considered the sexiest man alive , but Edward Cullen is not the reason why some of us are drawn to this movie , for me it’s Peter Facinelli , Dr. Carlisle Cullen !!!! TEAM CARLISLE !!!!!!! (^_^)

He is one of the most sexiest men alive, but it is definitely not because he played Edward. That role just brought him to attention, and because of the succes Twilight had everyone now knows about him. But that is not why he is the great person he is. Most of us just love him for his great personality and the fact that he still remains down to earth despite his new found fame, fame which, by the way, he still denies
) Gotta love him…in my opinion being sexy or hot doesn’t necessarily require being gorgeous, good-looking having a ripped body. You can also be sexy as long as you have the right attitude…
I agree with Laura. If he was a jerk he wouldn’t be nearly so sexy.
Leonardo Di’ Caprio got his fame and heartthrob status from Titanic as well as other big starts in the Hollywood.
I agree it started from Twilight and the movie brought him great attention and I’m sure he’ll get a lot more projects in the future as Summit Entertainment grows much bigger.
I grew with Laura & Stacie. I was never really a Di Caprio fan. He’s handsome enough, but I found him arrogant & a bit too much like Rosalie to find him sexy. Rob had my interest long before Twilight. This just cemented it for me.
Of course he’s the sexiest man on the planet! That is common knowledge. But I do have a thing for Kellan, Jackson, Peter, and Taylor as well. Not just sexiest beast Mr. Robert Pattinson. *Grrrowl* And I totally agree with Laura. I saw how hot he was in Harry Potter. And when I voiced that after I saw HP 4, my friends laughed at me. Who’s laughing now?? Ha ha!!! Love ya, Rob!!! . .

It has everything to do with personality, for me if I am going to find a man sexy. Every interview that Rob has ever done, he’s been so moddist, and sincere. It’s, as others have said, his down to earth nature, his “I’m just an ordinary person” kind of attitude that makes him wonderful to me. I could care a less what he looks like on the outside, or whether or not he’s still obsessed with the way his eyebrows look. It’s his personality, and his character that makes him awesome in my eyes.

Also Jackson Rathbone, Cam Gigandet, Kellan Lutz and Taylor Lautner made the top 100 at 82, 39, 19 and 11 respectively…just picked up my copy…yum!!
