“Film’s First Movie Trailer Receives 10.6 Million Online Views in its First Week Through Launch Partners MySpace and MTV
LOS ANGELES, June 9 /PRNewswire/ — The movie trailer for Summit Entertainment’s THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON received 10.6 million online views in its first week from the trailer’s domestic launch partners, MySpace and MTV. The trailer views on MySpace set a new record for the site with a total of 4.2 million online views within the first 24 hours and a total of 7.8 million within the first seven days. After being seen by 5.3 million viewers during its broadcast debut during the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, the trailer also received a total of 2.8 million online views on MTV.com within the first week.
The achievement is not only a record for MySpace, but also surpassed the views of the third and final trailer for the first film TWILIGHT, which received 3.2 million views in its first 48 hours online.
THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, and directed by Chris Weitz will be released November 20, 2009.”

Interesting! That’s wasn’t bad at all!! The speed in how transformed was how it was described in the book. I’d love to see this werewolf walk in two feet.
I love the slow motion transformation clip. It shows how well they did it. It looks perfect! Exactly how I imagined it. It’s amazing how even in slow motion it looks flawless.

Wow…the werewolves look very unrealistic! It looks like this movie is going to such too…
As opposed to all the other real werewolves out there…? If they made the New Moon wolves look too much like actual wolves, they would be gangly, slinky, and not the massive beasts as portrayed in Steph’s novel. You have to take in consideration that the wolf design time had to create wolves that could express human emotions and yet still be a wolf. The Quiluete Wolves remained mentally human, even though they were a wolf. I think they did a perfect job blinding the animal ferocity of the wolf and giving it enough humanity to make it stand out, without creating another Maugrim. Another thing we have to take into consideration that this was merely a tease, and to be honest what we saw might not be the finalized version of the wolf. It was created solely for the teaser trailer. Things could change and be tweaked. Over all though, I am very satisfied.
LOL…why do people keep saying that Jake is a WEREWOLF??? The Quilleutes descended from WOLVES, as clearly stated in Twilight. That’s why he doesn’t look like a werewolf. I love the look, though. I totally missed the shredding of his clothes in the dozen or so times I’ve watched the trailer…geez. Can’t wait for the movie!!

now because of the internet i love to watch movie online as there are 3 benefits if you buy dvds online : 1) you can get unlimited movie searches 2) you can get unlimited 24/7 movie streams and 3) you can watch unlimited movies or tv shows at anytime you want..just like i do!

Well that just proves it, New Moon will definitely outsell Twilight. This is torture having to wait so long. I think I would rather have to suffer a transformation or let Jane torture me. LOL

Do the record numbers also reflect how many times we watched on the different fansites as well as MTV and youtube? The slow motion is awesome. I love it that you can see the pieces of the clothes flying off as well. It was a really seamless transformation too. Great!

will this be the only new moon trailer?
No, there will be more trailers. There’s usually 2 or 3 teasers, which are about 30-60 seconds long. There’s 1 official trailer, also called the Theatrical Trailer, which is about 2, 2 1/2 minutes long. There’s also the tv spots, or commercials.
Awesome! I’ve watching this trailer so many times, I’ve lost count. I refuse to reread New Moon until right before the movie comes out (too many real life items need to be done), but if I remember correctly, there is a scene where Jacob transforms with Bella right there. They have made this trailer look like it happens in the scene where Bella is cornered, but in the movie I bet these scences will be spaced just like in the book.
Oh, the thong is too perfectly seen. And red? Come on, are they trying to make it symbolic of vampire blood? It’s CGI’d in. Stop looking at Bella’s back side and look at the amazying shapeshifting Jacob shows off into a wolf. He’s a shapeshifter, not a werewolf.
