I do like that Rob is front and center though. I was afraid they were going to cut him out of it and instead, he’s the focal point. He’s covering up most of Jacob. Very symbolic.
Ok about Kristin. Lets think about the book. Bella is just on the edge of insanity throughout most of the book people. So the vacant stare actually works. She shouldn’t be looking into Jacobs eyes because really, while she connected to him and used him for support, there was always that part of her that wanted Edward. When she started getting closer to Jacob, she wasn’t a complete wreck anymore, so it wouldn’t be right for the poster to portray her as such. But she wasn’t completely connected either…hence the vacant stare.
I just want to point out what a good job i think the did with Jacob. When I look at the poster, my eye goes more to Jacob than Bella or Edward, and that’s pretty impressive considering most of him is hidden.
They are saying a lot in this poster, you have to look beyond the surface and really think about what’s going on in the picture.

I already commented, but I have been reading everyone else’s, and am I the only person that doesn’t think that’s a sun coming out, or an eclipse? It is just a crescent moon coming out through heavy clouds. That’s what I see anyway.

This poster should be about the book New Moon and not what fans would like better. Have Edward in the foreground again for Eclipse.

I think the poster is fantastic. I don’t see how anyone can believe it isn’t potraying New Moon. Whether Edward plays a large part in the book physically or not, the book technically is all about him. Everything in this book happens because of him, and him leaving Bella. I believe they placed the characters the way they did for a reason. I believe that reason is to potray how big of a role Edward plays in Bella’s life and how big of a role Jacob takes in protecting her, I think it is perfectly potrayed. Have a fantastic day everyone, and in case I didn’t say this I absolutely love the poster I think it’s super!

I love it. The makeup is so much better, Bella looks more like what I wanted her to look like in Twilight and Jacob is HOT!! Even Edward looks better and he doesn’t have that silly boufant hairstyle that even Rob made fun of. Granted, I wanted more, but that will still be the same after I see the movie.
I love it but it would of been better if they had Bella trying to move Jacob out of the way or holding Edwards hand.
Bella is my favorite character and I hate it that she’s always overshadowed by Edward/Rob all the time.
i like it but i don’t. it’s weird when i first saw it i thought of eclipse straight away but that might i’ve been because i was rereading it again. I don’t know, because i saw so many really REALLY good fan made ones (the link Kathleen gave, she’s number i was kinda expecting something else, i don’t know. when i look at it closely i do think wow it looks good. I love Kristen’s face but i thought it would be more emotional, kinda distraught, you can see emotion on her face but i thought it would be more there if that makes sense?. Maybe because i have waited for so long for NM to be brought to life i expected it to look how i imagined it but then reading through comments that people have left all over the internet they all seem to have the same kinda idea as me
I luv the Pic. I think it portrays New Moon rather well. Bella has found a new “companion” in Jacob. Edward gave Bella up 4 her safety but is always wanting and looking out to see if she can really move on. I like how they made Edward and Jacob stand back to back to show the loathing that Wolves and Vamps have 4 eachother. WELL DONE

Yes, the fan made posters were awesome but I like the tension that this one creates that the others don’t and can’t. This one is real and not pictures manipulated together to look like they create it. I think it’s very fitting for this movie. Well done, Summit!

i think the poster looks great and agree with catherine about it. i printed this out from my computer to add it to my picture collection of the saga. i love it. but i have not really seen any of the fan made poster.

Gosh Edward’s shirt bugs me! Couldn’t they have found a shirt that at least fits? Also Bella looks latino. She looks to tan and healthy for someone going through the darkest part of her life. I do like how Edward’s face looks, though. He does look kind of otherworldly. And I like how Jake’s glaring at him. But Bella and Edward should have switched positions.

The body language between the characters is important in this poster. There is tension between Jacob & Edward, though if you look closer you can see that Edward is almost letting Jacob have Bella. I wouldn’t say that Jacob is between Edward & Bella (that is more Eclipse) but that Jacob is trying to stop Bella getting to him, maybe symbolizing the fact that Jacob was trying to get Bella to get over Edward.
Regarding the fact that Edward is in front of Bella & Jacob, I think this shows several things. First, that Edward is always the most important thing in Bella’s life, even when he leaves. Almost everything she does in New Moon is because of him. Edward seems to almost dictate both Bella’s & Jacob’s lives in New Moon. Second, that Bella put others before herself, which she does. & lastly that even though Jacob tries to ‘protect’ her from Edward, he is the most important person in her life & there was no way he was ever going to be able to do it. Jacob did become both her friend & protector when Edward left, but say if he hadn’t then who knows what would have happened.
I could go on & on but I really should be doing my English homework instead of this so I’ll leave it at that. I’ll keep an eye on the comments though! x

i like it but i think bella should be in the middle but i guess it’s because jacob is still fight for bella’s heart that’s why he’s in the middle
It looks nice. A little too photoshoped though. I agree that some fan-made posters are more beautiful but that’s probably they are unofficial.
A person always expects more from “real deal” than someone unofficial.
