The above is an example of a title I could never pass up. Also suggested titles were “Hawt Pics of Bronzed Men”, “Let’s Laugh at Wisconsin!” and the ever-popular “Jaden Fails At Life” (which is incorrect, because in at least 10% of it I succeed).
I have a feeling that there’s an actual explanation for the werewolves/shapeshifters having such bronze skin (they aren’t living in the sunniest of towns, you know), and that I just totally missed it in the books.

Most Native Americans, in a sunny area or not, usually have bronzed skin. Maybe not so dark, but dark enough.

It still surprises me how that when Native Americans are romanticized everyone loves them, but in everyday life people normally shun them. I am a Native American and my family are all still Traditional and are all very beautiful people, inside and out. We are all middle class working and making a good living like anyone else would, but yet when we go out people still look at us as ” Dirty Indians”. I’m not calling anyone racist here, just saying its still very confusing growing up and Anicinabe Ikwe. ( Native Women)

I’m descended from Indians, and I’m nowhere near as dark as these guys. Look at pics of the actors they chose for the wolf pack before they were chosen. Some obvious bronzing going on here.

But their Native American is more prominant than yours. I’ve got a lot of native in me as well, but more european heritage and that’s why I’m a major player on team pale. Their heritage is more native american than european. Ergo… Dark, classically native american pigmentation.
As mentioned above, the wolf pack is native american and they are shirtless and wearing shorts because their body temp. is always higher than normal human temp (they seem to always have a fever) therefore, they are never cold. Also, it is easier to shape shift w/ the less clothes they have on.

Good luck paying off the fines. My favorite meal: prime rib and veggies. Yum. Yeah, so, the reason they’re tan? They’re freaking Native American! That’s like saying why are Indians or Middle Eastern people tan! It’s they’re natural skin pigmentation.
LOL, IDK why everyone doesn’t seem to like him, I personally, find him hilarious, he’s just poking fun lol. and also, even though I adore Twilight, (seriously, bordering on unhealthy) I think its sort of entertaining how seriously some people take this, going into scientific defentions and whatnot, it’s a story but whatever floats yea boat haha. Do I really need to comment? They’re Native American! Native Americans, like other races of people (Hispanic, African American, Middle Eastern, to name just a few) have naturally brown skin, shades varying. Just because it’s not sunny doesn’t automatically make them white. Seriously irritated here. Sometimes the people that run the lexicon can make some REALLY dumb assumptions.

well IMO these actors had to look this way for their roles because of the characters’ heritage, and also because Stephenie actually mentioned in the book that the Quilutes were darker, didn’t she? Well, I just remember her saying that Jacob was haha ^^; but idk. *shrug*

I’m not a Twilight teeny bopper, and I love a bit of satire. But this kid and his rapid-fire delivery get on my nerves. No biggie, but I do find myself skipping over these posts. He makes my head hurt.

I know this has been said 15 times already, but…they are bronze skinned because they are Native American. You probably didn’t read that in the book because…well, it should have been assumed. Some people don’t need alot of sun to be darker-skinned…doesn’t seem like you know this.
Love the tan bodies, I know plenty of Native American & Hispanics who R blessed with gorgeous natural Tans like my sister & few that R cursed with pasty white ghost like skin like myself (Hispanic) & Charlene (Native American) We’ve cried a number of times 2 each other & have had heard all the jokes with the hands over eyes from R legs blinding paleness. Steph’s character Jacob was described as dark, we’ve seen blonds that have had darker skin, so who cares! Also we may get 2 C a lighter complexioned Seth if they stay true to Steph’s book N Eclipse. I don’t love the tattoos though I know there a pack but R they a gang! Is this supposed 2B another take on say the Cullen Crest R we going 2C Team Jac fans rushing off 2 due the circle & line tribal tats? Food-Anything Orchid Thai (Tom Yum Gai- Soup, Lad Na-Noodles, Papaya Salad or sliced beef salad with fresh herb & spices tangy & spicy) is my favorite those who can’t get Albuquerque, New Mexico’s food R just so out of luck we’ve got so many cultures & so much 2 choose from (Indian Tacos, flat bread, Enchiladas, tamales) sorry Jaden if you don’t get some real food real soon we may never get a sequel 2 your 1st book! Don’t really like Sam, but it doesn’t matter to me because he wasn’t that important of a character so I didn’t care what he looked like. But the others have really cute faces.
