Media Blvd Interviews Kristen Stewart

Media Blvd interviewed Kristen Stewart about her role in Adventureland and the upcoming New Moon. Kudos to Media Blvd on some refreshing new questions! On New Moon, Kristen stated:

I’m excited to get back into it. We pick up, right where we left off. I’m not creating a new character. I’m not trying to get into a head space, for the first time. And, I’m excited because the story is scaled down a little bit. Edward leaves Bella. The entire first movie is based on them being together, but if you take that away, there’s still a story, which I think is impressive. It’s not just these two characters who make it. She’s solitary. She’s entirely depressed. She matures. Taylor Lautner is still playing Jacob, and that’s the best thing. And, he’s buff too. That’s so important. He’s so good. In this film, we have to have a counterpart that is going to briefly outshine what was so great in the first one, which is a feat, and I think that he’s got it, so I can’t wait to see how he is able to pull Bella out of what he does. She’s like a zombie and he’s like the light. It’s such a tragic story. She’s like, “That’s who I should be with, but I’m totally in love with the guy I shouldn’t be with.” That’s how girls are.

  2. Kristen can call Jacob “the light” a zillion times and it will never get old for me. I love her for amping up Taylor!

  3. Kristen was really great in Adventureland. The movie was a lot of fun and really enjoyable! Thanks for posting the article. I thought it was a good interview.

yeah.. KStew likes Taylor very much.. I hope they will make new moon better than twilight.. It’s tragic but i love to see KStew pull it off.. I hope she’ll do a better acting on this one..

Kristen’s bringing up all of my Team Jacob pain all over again. And I love Edward…as a person. But Jacob Black was special to Bella – and human.

No matter what, I love that the actress playing Bella is such a fan of the books. She seems to thoroughly understand this story.

      Vampball,
      Ditto!
Can anyone fully imagine the level of pressure that has been put upon her, not to mention the entire cast, to portray these characters? I’m really impressed with K.Stew’s dedication and commitment to bringing Bella to life.I loved her performance in Twilight and with her familiarity of Bella, she can jump right back into the role.I appreciate that she is thoughtful of her character as well as her cast mates. She genuinely understands the importance of Jacob’s presence and realizes that Taylor brings a dedication to his role that shines as brightly as Edward’s dazzle ability!
I understand that Jacob pain and I relive it every time I reread the series ;( I’m with you ;)

  6. Jacob Black is also a Werewolf/shape shifter, he’s not just human. Isn’t this a recycled interview, I know I read this about three week’s ago.

  7. Christina says:

No, this is in no way a recycled interview. I did this interview myself and posted it the day that ADVENTURELAND opened. When doing press for a film, similar questions are asked by anyone, which receive similar answers. I hope that helps clarify things for you.

  8. I was not a huge fan of Kristen, I didn’t think she was all that great in Twilight. However, I have changed my mind about her, I watched The Cake Eaters last night and she did a wonderful job in that movie. So I know she can act hopefull she will do a better job in New Moon than she did in Twilight
