I have confirmation on a variety of other cast members from a reliable source. I know there are a million rumors circulating out there about other parts, but since I have no credible confirmation, I am not posting other names at this time.
Again, keeping out site policy in mind, you don’t have to like a particular actor. However, if you are going to critique this actor on this website, it has to do with their performing abilities and not the fact that they have "The wrong color hair, eyes, a tan, are short…" or any other number of superficial things make-up, lighting, and a good camera angle can solve.

omg… i don’t know what i’m feeling. i’m, excited about this, yet a little unsure… of course, we all picture them differently. i loved nikki in lords of dogtown but didn’t find her pretty, and now to think she’ll play rosalie… who’s described as BEAUTIFUL. i don’t know. she’s an amazing actress, so i’m sure she’ll pull it off anyways. of course, alice is PERFECT! the others, pretty good too, i’m excited!!
OMC!! I love the Esme, Victoria, and the Rosalie will do once they give her blonde hair. The Carlise will most likely be good once they do all of the Hollywood-magic, and even though I had my heart set for a different actress as Alice, I think that the one they have chosen will be amazing.

I am sooooo excited about Elizabeth Reaser as Esme. I think I screamed… something which I didnt get to do for Kristen (I was at work at the time I found out!)
I didnt put two and two together with Catharine Hardwick and Nikki Reed but now I am even more irritated by the decision. It is almost as if she was just given the role that was most like her instead of picking the most “rosalie” like person. I hope they do their movie magic!

I love the cast, Rosalie I’m not sure about, but I can’t make any judgments until I see her in the role, I loved her in Thirteen. I am so thrilled with Alice, and Esme!!! I am giggling with happiness at this very moment. Carlisle is good, everyone is just great I am so super stoked!!

I wish the James and Carlisle actors were flipped. Is it just me? Hopefully I’ll be pleasantly surprised by that casting. Elizabeth Reaser was amazing in an artsy movie called, “Sweetland.” I have no doubt that she can pull this off. Alice is perfect. Even Rosalie is beautiful enough for me.

Wait a moment while I do my happy dance…*proceeds to do happy dance* LOL Okay, I like the choices for Alice and Esme the most. But the actress for Alice has to really needs cut her hair shorter. Other than that, I personally think she’s perfect. Esme is really good also, the only one I’m slightly worried about is Rosalie. The actess is beautiful but her looks are the opposite of Rose’s.
But, I guess in movies they can do the impossible so we’ll see how it goes.
Other than that, they did an alright job casting. I think that most of the actors will do fantastic job and do this properly.

Okay, so I am genuinely pleased with all of the choices except for Rosalie. I have seen Nikki act before and I think that she will do a wonderful job when it comes to acting…but I just don’t see how that can make her look the part. Everyone is saying that hair color shouldn’t matter, but for Rosalie’s character it really does. She is the blond b**** who totally identifies herself by the way that she looks. Also, I worry that they will not be able to make her pale enough to fit the vampire persona. I’m sure it will all work out in the end, so I’m trying to stay positive about it all. Hopefully when they announce the rest of the cast it will cancel out this one worry. Okay, enough of my opinions…

first of all she doesn’t fit the description of Rosalie AT ALL.

Nope. I am not seeing that, for one she doesnt look like the description at all.
But i may get a different perspective once we see her in costume, she may just be a hidden Rosalie.
But the one i am most worried about is Peter Facinelli, he isn’t Carlisle. He isn’t dreamy, he isn’t handsome. He isn’t like the kind of guy you’d be speechless when he walks into a room, that what i expected Carlisle to be like since in the books all the nurses were meant to be crazy about him.
Alice, Esme + Victoria. Yeah i’m pretty happy, Ashley Greene looks like Alice, so yeah it’s all good.
I guess i just expected more though, i know it’s idiotic but now i know what people felt like who didn’t like the casting choices for Bella+Edward, i’m not really happy about Rosalie or Carlisle, but we’ll have to wait and see, in hope that makeup and great acting skills will make me believe more.

rosalie wasnt really like what i imagined, and i imagined esme to be a little more petite, but they’re really not too bad. carlisle seems okay enough.
i know alice should have short hair, but i really think she’ll look absolutely beautiful with long hair! @_@ i mean it SO suits her face. she is absolutely stunning!

Okay I LOVE ALL of them i can already picture Rachel Lefevre as Victoria with the firey red or orange hair. As for Rosilie…… i don’t know, she looks very beautiful and stunning but for some reason i can’t picture her as Rosilie. I’m crossing my finers that Summit will make this movie AWSOME…….and for our actress to look like Rosilie.

So it’s raining where I live, and I was like, ahh! Twilight! (My brain has been wired to think rain -> Forks -> Twilight), and decided to check the lexi to see if anything new was up! And it was! Yay!
Is it just me, or is Summit doing everything… right? Obviously, it’s way too early in the process to make any true opinions on things. Only first impressions can be justifiably made at this point, but they seem to be picking actors who a) can actually act, which is always a plus in movies b) has potential to, after movie magic, really look as close as is humanly possible to the characters we’ve imagined (though obviously everyone imagined something different, and since vampires are beyond human beauty levels no one can actually 100% look like them).

And about these new cast members… I wouldn’t be sad if Peter and Cam switched roles, but I’m not too worried. With the miracles of modern technology (and a little makeup, hair dye, and colored contacts), I think (read: I REALLY REALLY HOPE) it will all turn out fine!
As for Nikki Reed, who some of you are bashing like there’s no tomorrow, I think she’s beautiful. I think it’s important to realize that NO ONE is as beautiful as the REAL Rosalie. She’s a vampire, and thus has unattainable beauty. But Nikki is exotic-looking, which, let’s be honest, I don’t know how well that works for blondes, but I think she’ll do just fine.
It’s more important that these people can ACT than that they look EXACTLY like you think they should look (which they CAN’T, because they’re all human, as far as I know)! Don’t judge TOO harshly before you actually SEE the movie! Some of us (and YOU) don’t always take the BEST pictures!
