First look at the prom!

The TwilightMoms have posted a set report on their forums from The View Point Inn where the prom scenes were filmed yesterday.  From the sound of it, there were lots of media outlets there for pictures and footage, so we should get more prom related news items as time goes on.  The set was a Monte Carlo feel as well as oversized decorations.  It really looks beautiful!  Check it out over at their forums, but know that you must be a registered user 25 years old or over to post.  You can talk about the prom photos here at the Lexicon on our message boards.

On a related note, I’d like to give the fandom a heads up about a few things I have learned about The View Point Inn where filming was located.  The inn has gone through some major work and is still in need of more work.  The owners have fought long and hard to keep the place standing.  It is still in need of repair to help keep it from being lost forever.  As a Twilight fan, I would hate to see something used for such a wonderful moment in the movie to fall to waste.  The Inn will be hosting several events throughout the coming year, some of which we have previously reported about, including a Twilight Themed Halloween Party.  If you would like to visit the Inn or contribute to their cause to save the Inn, you can visit their site here.  Reservations are required.

Twilight on MSNBC, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the AP

There is a video on The Associated Press where Robert talks about Twilight and Catherine talks about the chemistry between Robert and Kristen.  Find it here.  Thanks to Athena for heads up.

The Associated Press also have posted the article about Twilight.

"Edward is the reluctant 180-year-old vampire stuck in the body of a

17-year-old boy who falls in love with a mortal and destroys both of

their lives, in a romantic and loving way," Pattinson said.

Thanks to Shel and Bluebelle for the heads up.

**NOTE:  Many people have comments on the following points.  No need to panic.  First, Robert says 108 year old vampire.  The reporter writing the article misunderstood him thanks in part to his accent, and thus he was quoted as saying 180 year old vampire.  Second, when Catherine is talking about a love scene, she is talking about a romantic scene such as the meadow scene.  Rest assured, one of the deals of the film is that it will stick to the book on the nature of Edward and Bella’s relationship.  All bedroom scenes refer to being in Bella’s bedroom just as they are many times over in the series and nothing more.

Poll from Cinematical and rumor squash

The folks at Cinematical, who yesterday gave us a behind the scenes peek story, have come up with a "Which character are you most like?" poll.  Mention you saw it on the Lexicon if you make a comment!

While we are at it, we just wanted to lay to rest a couple of rumors that are circulating in our inbox and around the Internet.

    a. The beach scenes have not been cut from the movie, they will still take place, just not shot as previously planned for at La Push.
    b. There was an honest error in the ET report, Rosalie is known as Rosalie Hale in the movie not Rosalie Cullen.
    c. Twilight is not intended as an R-rated movie, all "movie posters" out there are currently done by some talented photoshoppers, none are the real thing.

Cafepress Revamped (if you’ll pardon the pun)

The incredibly talented Ambereyes has come up with a bunch of new fun designs for the Lexicon’s Cafepress Store.  Proceeds from the store help to keep us up and running.

Here are just a few of the great, new, graphics available on everything from tee shirts to mugs. This newest batch is inspired by the upcoming The Host. It’s a great way for Lexiconers to find each other at signing events. Last year during E-prom similar shirts helped people to find each other.  The Twilight Lexicon Signing Tee will make a great souvenir for your signing adventure, have fellow Lexiconers sign your shirt!

Order now to ensure delivery before Stephenie’s next signing!
