Catherine Hardwicke, Rob Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart will be traveling to Italy to promote the film on October 30th at Rome’s International Film Festival. The date coincides with the release of the Italian translation of Breaking Dawn. According to Shock Til You Drop they will give a 15 minute sneak peak of the film.  According to Italian fan Monica,  the program states that the cast may also be reading from Breaking Dawn.

Contests

The AMC Horror Blog, is hosting a Your Greatest Fear video contest. They did an article awhile ago on how Twilight appeals to lovers of the classic horror story. There is some major prize money involved, and Rob Zombie is one of the judges.  You can find all the details here.

Bite of Twilight is having a vampire pumpkin contest. You can snag all the details here. Prizes include one of the site’s signature shirts.

Twilight Teez has a new line of merchandise in response to their recent two-word slogan contest.  There is now an alternate Edward Fanclub slogan, Humor Me.  For the first time Rosalie and Renesmee are represented. Rosalie’s slogan is "jealous Much" and Renesmee’s is "Go Hybrid".

Twilight Music News

Stephenie updated her site yesterday to give the news that Paramore would be featured in the Twilight movie soundtrack. The Soundtrack will be available for purchase starting November 4th.

The Twilight Music Girls’s CD is now available on ITunes.  Additionally the band is going to be interviewed by Twilight series theories. They are asking for interview questions here.

Teen Vogue has a brief article up about Stephenie’s Jack’s Manequin video shoot.

Movie News

According to MTV, former Jane’s Addiction member Perry Farrell has a song in the Twilight movie soundtrack.

Mike Welch has pictures from his latest project, Speech and Debate, on his MySpace. His MySpace happens to be sporting a Twilight theme. 

We also understand that Mike may be updating his media site soon with some early footage of Mike.

Speaking of Mike, Popstar magazine has an interview coming up with Mike tomorrow, and they want your ideas on what questions you want him to answer.  Chime in here.

Last but not least, photos from  the Send Mike Socks Campaign should be making an appearance on Mike’s MySpace shortly.

Sam’s Club recently sent out a newsletter to its members offering one lucky person the chance to buy a trip to the Twilight movie premiere in Los Angles.  The trips includes meeting the cast. More details on the trip are released October 15 by going to the Sam’s Club website and searching on the word Twilight. Thanks to Bonnie.

Twilight Tuesday

 This week’s Twilight Tuesday gives us a closer look at Cam Gagandet and the character of James.  He talks abotu fights scenes and the way he likes to scare fans.  There is more coverage over at the MTV movie blog where Larry talks about the casts first appearance together at the MTV Movie Awards and gives fans hope of hearing from Elizabeth Reaser, aka Esme, in the near future.

Monday Morning News Catch Up

In light of the requests we have had in response to the Lexicon Movie Event in Tennessee, we have opened a Movie Gathering Forum for all of you to plan your release parties and meet up with other Lexicon members in your area.  Please do not post any personal information, like your name, in the forum.

Official Lexicon Movie Event in Tennessee!

The Twilight Lexicon will be hosting a special exclusive showing of the Twilight Movie on Saturday morning Nov. 22, 2008 in Cool Springs, Tennessee at 10:30 am.  Tickets for the event are $10 and cover the cost of your admission to the film and a special goodie bag with assorted Twilight related items.  The concession stand will be open for food purchases.  Regular rules apply and no outside food will be allowed into the theatre. 

375 tickets will be available starting today on a first come first served basis.  In order to secure your seat at the showing, send an e-mail to [email protected] with your real name and the number of tickets you are requesting.   Once you have received a confirmation e-mail from the admin team that your seats are being reserved, you will then need to send a check or money order for the exact amount to cover the full cost of the tickets. You will be given further information on who to make the check out to and where to send payment in your confirmation email.  Once the seats have been filled, we will start a waiting list for those who are still interested. 

Alphie and Pel will be there along with some other well known Lexicon members including the ladies from Infinite Jewelry (who make Bella’s bracelet and engagement ring).  We will be having a drawing for a few special Twilight related items from the Lexicon store that everyone who comes will have a chance to win. 

We can’t wait to see you there!

UPDATE! There are still about 25 tickets left for the event.  If you have sent in a request by Tuesday Sept. 30, you should have received a confirmation.

And because so many of you are asking why this is being held in Tennessee, its because I live here!  I spent half of my summer in NYC.  Its Pel’s turn to come to me!  LOL!
