Twilighters Ilana and Taryn are trying to organize Canadian fans so that there will be a Canadian Twilight convention. So if you are a Canadian, or for that matter live near the border, and want to help them out in making their dream a reality, head on over to their site.

According to the Dreamboat Record’s site:

“We are pleased to announce that the How To Be soundtrack is getting a wider worldwide release than we had originally planned. Unfortunately this means that we’ve had to move the release back a little, but the good news is that you wont have to wait very long. The record will be available to pre-order from our store very soon; we’ll be announcing the exact date in the next few days. Sign up the the mailing list and Facebook group for updates.”

It is heavily rumored that Robert Pattinson will have more than one track on the album.

EDITED: We noticed a couple of minor corrections/additions to the info Geo provides:

• The Walmart DVD has special features: audio commentary, three music videos and the five extended scenes.
• The Ultimate DVD Giftset (with the soundtrack, watch, etc.) is only available at Costco.
• The Ultimate Blu-Ray Giftset is available at Amazon but not until May 5.
• The single disc Blu-Ray is only available at Best Buy. It’s the same content as the national 2-disc DVD.
• Target has the only  2-disc Blu-Ray with the same items that Geo talks about when she mentions their exclusive 3-Disc DVD.
• The Blu-Ray versions will have BD-Live (that cool feature where you go online for content).

We’ve had a couple of e-mails from people who are having trouble on and off seeing the blog. We’ve narrowed down the problem to a bug in the latest version of Internet Explorer. Depending on if we have certain media embedded people either can or can’t read the site.

To avoid the situation until they debug the browser (because the only other solution is to cut off the pictures and videos and who wants that!), use Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari to view the blog. Possibly other browsers will work, but these are the ones we’ve tested.

Jackson Rathbone braved the cold and the snow yesterday in Philadelphia to start filming on his new M. Night Shyamalan film The Last Airbender. It’s a good thing Jackson got toughened up by the crazy Oregon weather last year considering filming is also supposed to take him to Greenland.  Also, in the “let’s nip this rumor in the bud right now” camp, this filming will not mess up Jackson’s appearance in New Moon. As every Twilight fan knows Jasper has two scenes (granted great scenes) in New Moon and wouldn’t be needed on the New Moon set daily.

Robert Pattinson is more than ready to hand over the legions of screaming fans to Taylor Lautner. Don’t worry, there’s next to no chance it will go to 17-year-old Taylor’s head. His parents have devised a plan.

Twilight Singapore has uploaded their video from the fan Q&A session that took place in Tokyo. For those of you following the fashion, this is where Kristen swaps into the tee shirt, jeans, and sneakers. It’s also where she makes Rob blush(video 3). You can also see the interesting game they played with the ropes to see who got to have dinner with Rob, Kristen, and Taylor.

Novel Novice has a new fanfic contest. According to their press release,

“NNT’s March-April Fan Fiction Challenge is taking inspiration from Midnight Sun. This time, we’re asking you to write a missing scene from any of the four Twilight books from Edward’s perspective.

You may write a missing scene from any of the books: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse or Breaking Dawn.

Who is that masked man? Mike Welch secret Uno Lover? It turns out that Mike was a good sport and played a round of Uno with these Uno bloggers at the San Fransisco Twilight Convention.

On a side note, Mike seems to have kept the dark hair look. He initially he had to dye his naturally blonde hair darker for a recent LA theatrical stint. It’s kind of a reverse Nikki Reed, Peter Facinelli, and Jackson Rathbone thing where they have to dye their naturally dark hair blonde for Twilight. So we’re curious, do you prefer Mike blonde or brunette?

Now for you Jackson Rathbone fans, it seems that you need to set your TIVOs to record the April 8th edition of Criminal Minds. That’s when Jackson’s episode, directed by Jason Alexander of Seinfeld fame airs. Speaking of Jackson, Shock Till You Drop got a sneak peak at Jackson in the upcoming Dread.  They dish a few details here.
