As a point of information, this is for a band or artist to submit their work themselves. No matter how much you personally may love a group or think they are perfect, someone from that group needs to submit the items being asked for not a fan (nothing personal, the way the biz works).

Looks like our guy in the music industry got fooled. The earlier story was not based on fact according to Summit.

  1. Cool 🙂 too bad I’m musically uninspired!

  2. Awesome! a couple months ago I wrote a song about New Moon!

  3. where do i suggest the songs?

  4. On iTunes they have a playlist of songs the Stephanie listened to while writing the books maybe they can use that as a template.

  5. Too bad we can’t suggest songs by bands we like! But that’s understandable. If I could, however… “Beneath the Skin” by Collide=ultimate werewolf song, “Razor Sharp” by Collide=ultimate vampire song, and “Wings of Steel” by Collide=ultimate Horror/Fantasy movie song (can you tell I’m rather fond of Collide?). Industrial Gothic goodness! 😀

  6. I would suggest maybe letting the bands that you think would be good for it know about this. Other wise they may not know.

  7. Anyone know if this is legit and not a scam of some sort? Anyone from the lexicon know from summit or somewhere that this is real? My fiance is in a band and one of their songs would be good but i would like to know if its legit. Thanks!

  8. We got it from someone in the industry who deals with this type of thing on a regular basis, and he’s applying. So we’re relying on his industry knowledge here to evaluate the legitimacy.

    As for telling someone who has a band about this, we’re not seeing that as being a problem in any way assuming you aren’t stalking them up their front lawn or anything like that.

  9. Thanks!
    I’m a huge Twilight fan. I’ve been in an indie rock band for almost 2 years. We’ve got a song from our first EP that is sooo New Moon it’s not even funny. If we get selected I’ll let the lexicon know first thing. The guys in my band think I’m Twilight nuts…bet they’ll be singing a different tune if we get picked!

    the song I submitted is called “Ocean”, it’s very well suited for some impromptu cliff diving…lol

  10. Mary Alice Cullen says

    They should ask Kristen Stewert, because she was the one who recomanded that song they used for the prom thing in the movie when she’s dancing with Edward.
    These are good songs….
    “Behind These Hazel Eyes” By Kelly Clarkson
    “I Will Be” by Leona Lewis
    “18th Floor Blacony” by Blue October
    and any song by Coldplay because they rock. 🙂

  11. Peace.Love.Twilight. says

    please let rob pattinson be on the soundtrack!!!

  12. Lauren!
    I just listened to your live recording on youtube. It was fantastic! And you are right, the lyrics are beyond perfect. Best of luck to you!

  13. Holy crow! (pitiful Bella reference)
    lol, thanks so much Angela! Never EVER did I think another Twilight fan would be into Lucia Drive.

  14. I think for the scenes where Bella and Jacob are riding the bikes, Spinnerette’s song “Ghetto Love” would work. It’s an alternative rock sock that has a fast pace drum beat to it that brings speed to mind.

  15. IEnvyBella says

    So…they don’t really need songs? I’m confused.

  16. I had a feeling when I saw their site something was fishy. My fiance said a band should never have to pay to submit a song, thanks for checking for us the legitimacy of the site! You saved a lot of people money and trouble. 🙂

  17. SWING LIFE AWAY by Rise Against would be the perfect song for New Moon. It reminds me sooo much of Jacob.

  18. ya! i hope there will be more rob songs in new moon. !

  19. Wow,there’s nothing left to read

  20. Going Under by Evanescence would be a great song for new moon…

  21. Also Finger 11 has a couple of songs that would fit both for different reasons than the Evanescence song above… “Lost My Way” and “Talking to the Walls”.

  22. Alter Bridge sings a beautiful song that fits Edward and Bellah to a T… it’s called “Watch Over You”… It’s brilliant…

  23. just as long as paramore is on the soundtrack. im happy. haley williams loves twilight so im sure she wants to record something.

  24. Huh?

  25. I reckon britney spears’s out from under would go well. for bella sayin it to jake. and i reckn i caught myself would have gone better in the new moon soundtrack instead of the twilight one.

  26. 1)my immortal:: evanecense
    2)im still here:: veritical horizon
    3)you had me at hello:: a day to remember
    4)just like i remember:: bleed the dream
    5)scream:: avenged sevenfold [great for one of jacobs or edwards parts;] it really reminds me of edward tho cuz it says “i’ll taste ur blood tonit”
    6)close your eyes:: before their eyes
    7)poison like yours:: rookie of the year
    8)so far away:: crossfade
    9)cold:: crossfade
    10)thinking of you:: katy perry (omg when jacob almost kisses bella,, this would be perfect!!!)

  27. Pages by 3 Doors Down
    Landing in London by 3 Doors Down
    Everything by Lifehouse
    Lost by Michael Buble
    You’ll be in My Heart by Phil Collins
    My Immortal by Evanescence

  28. How Could I by Oleander
    These Arms by Matt Costa
    Full of Grace by Sarah Mclaughlin

  30. I think Legends by Brand X Music would be great!!!

  31. I submitted my song “Wise” for the break-up scene.:)

    Wish me luck guys!!

  32. Serena Emtiaz says

    I submitted my song “Wise” for the break-up scene.:)

    Wish me luck guys!!

  33. I think that Summit is not the one that submitted the listing. It could have been a number of the music supervisors, directors, or music brokerage firms that probably want to submit songs for consideration.
