Books A Million’s Twilight Saga Club

Books A Million is starting their own Twilight Saga club.

Weekend Box Office

The weekend box office revenue for all films is down from what was expected. This is pretty much due to the snow storms that have socked the Midwest and Eastern Seaboard. Twilight, however, upped its take to over $150 million.

Thread Twilight continues to be popular overseas. New Zealand, where no one is worried about snow since it’s summer, gave it a thumbs up.

Twilight and New Moon Movie News

Kaleb Nation, the Twilight Guy, reacts to MTV’s Woman of the Year being Twilight fans.

Things are still tense over at the Screen Actors Guild where a strike is a real possibility.  The strike would not only wreck havoc with the Twilight shooting schedule, but other films and a variety of TV shows as well.

No matter what happens here, a serious rift is developing in the union that has always in the past stood strong and basically united.  As prominent entertainment lawyer Jonathan Handel puts it, “This is going to end badly, no matter who blinks, or when.” In the next 30 days, let’s hope that tensions ease. On January 23, the SAG members have to return their ballots indicating whether they support a strike or not, the tallying of the votes will then proceed with results coming out shortly after that.

Now for an insightful story on Robert Pattinson’s next project (note the name of the publication it’s important and the disclaimer at the end.)

Site Maintenance

We will be doing some normal site maintenance during the next six hours or so.  The site will have sporadic outages due to this.  Sorry to zap the Europeans, Oceanias, and Asians again, but we try to do this at our non-peak hours.

Twilight and New Moon Movie News

MTV is on a roll today. First up they talked to Ashley Greene about her thoughts on New Moon director Chris Weitz. Then they move on to Asley becoming the love interest of co-star Kellan Lutz in an upcoming film, and then Kate Beckinsale learns that she is a vampire role model.

FemaleFirst Kristen Stewart gave some new insight to the UK-based Female First., later the also UK-based Digital Spy talks to both Rob, Catherine, and Kristen. Lastly, FiveFilm also caught up with the trio.

No news yet on how Taylor Lautner’s lunch with director Chris Weitz went today. MIchael Copon made the news several times. First he clears up that a facebook page claiming he was bragging about being Jacob Black was a fake. Then he tells J-14 he’s "dabbled through the Cliff’s Notes". We’re assuming this is a typo or misinterpretation because as far as we know there aren’t any Cliffs Notes.
