Watch for Italian Coverage

Remember the Italian  version of the Coming Soon site is supposed to broadcast the Twilight footage. I’m currently looking at the site (not sure if it’s just my connection or not) but the feed is slow and choppy. Hope they have a great server and tons of bandwith.

I was able to screen cap a bit of the choppy footage.

According to Lexiconer Italian Twilighter "the footage should eventually be added to the site’s archive found at the same link as the live feed (scroll down).  Also, 2 scenes were shown during the press conference. 1. Bella meets the Cullens, with Claire de Lune, the Italian food and the spider monkey thing; 2. the second scene is the scene we already saw at the Comic Con (the ballet studio scene)."

EDIT: Still broadcasting choppy, but the Q&A is here. My advice( for the people who can’t wait for this to be YouTubed as no doubt it eventually will be) is to let it start to play, hit pause and let it download in segments, and then play the less choppy version.

EDIT 2: Partial English translation here. TY to Andrea over at Bad Taste IT.

Movie News

Stand by for footage tomorrow coming out of Rome as Kristen, Catherine, and Rob hit the Rome Film Festival. This is a MAJOR European Film festival, not quite Cannes, but it’s up there.

Now I have to say I’m not really up on whether Italy is 6 hours ahead of Eastern USA time right now because I don’t know if Italy has gone of daylight savings time or not yet. So, in Italy there is a 14:00 (AKA 2:00pm Italy time, which I think makes it 8:00am Eastern USA time) Twilight conference that The Coming Soon.net Italian version is going to air at 23:15 (AKA 11:15pm or 5:15 Eastern USA time). SOS to our Italian readers to help out here. Assuming I’m reading this correctly, it looks like the Italian version of Coming Soon will have the coverage.

Giovedì 30 ottobre:
11:30 Conferenza Stampa Si può fare (23:30 su Coming Soon TV)
12:15 Conferenza Stampa Missing
13:00 Conferenza Stampa Il prossimo tuo (23:45 su Coming Soon TV)
14:00 Conferenza Stampa Twilight (23:15 su Coming Soon TV)

The La Times in their ongoing Twilight countdown is featuring Edi Gathegi.

MTV is reporting that Fandango will start selling Twilight midnight showing ticket on Halloween. However various Lexiconers have been reporting that many theaters are already selling tickets. Please check with your local theater to find out what is teh best option in your area!

The New York Post has a great casual cast picture and article.

Twilight Saga Guide Update

The Twilight Saga website, has updated. Good news, they now have the cover of the guide available. Bad news, looks like the release date has been pushed back.

Interview With Robert Tonner

Did you know that the action figures produced by NECA aren’t the only likenesses of the Twilight cast that are coming out? Tonner Dolls is producing a line of top notch Twilight dolls due to come out right after Christmas.  Tonner products are high-quality items known for their attention to detail ( For you Harry Potter fans check out the Luna Lovegood doll that looks exactly like actress Evanna Lynch.)

We were fortunate enough to interview Robert Tonner(INTERVIEW FOUND HERE), owner, sculptor and designer about what we can expect to see.

Robert Tonner’s life-long interest in dolls, top-level fashion designer experience, and designing and sculpting talents led to his creation of the Tonner Doll Company, one of the most successful and celebrated doll manufacturers in the world.

All of Tonner’s dolls and costumes reflect their creator’s fashion industry background and desire for perfection. They have been prominently featured in national and international media.  Recently, several of his creations were added to the permanent collection of the Louvre Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris, France.

Many Twilight Lexicon readers may recognize Robert Tonner’s work from his Wizard of Oz and Harry Potter collections.

Robert took time out of his schedule to answer questions( insert interview link here) regarding the upcoming Twilight dolls.  If you want to sign up for direct information on the Twilight line, you can do so here.
