Between the 1000’s of questions hitting  our inbox for Rob, the number of cast interviews around the net, the excited buzz for pictures, the number of people flying to the Pacific Northwest in March just for the hopes at a glimpse at the cast, etc.  I think it’s obvious by now that there is massive, world-wide support for the Twilight movie and its cast.

Some fans recently decided to go for a visual show of support. Over 100 fans from around the globe participated in this YouTube video.

K from Kalama is lucky enough to be an extra in the scenes being shot this week.  Here’s what it’s like being an extra from her own viewpoint. You can definitely tell that it’s not all bright lights and glory, but boy there are some unique moments too.

Okay, here is the day’s, interesting, happenings…(yessum, I took notes! ^^)

• Arrived on set @ 5am
• About 8:30 the 30+ extras were told their directions
• While waiting for our directions, some of my new friends and I were Robert watching… saw him, YAY!
• We extras did our seven+ takes of a hallway scene… I didn’t get chosen to be in the classroom w/ rob
• Saw Mike… SO ADORABLE IN PERSON!
• More hallway takes
• Went into an auditorium to wait for more directions…
• Then we did more takes…
• Went back into aud.
• More takes…
• Then the aud. Again! GUH!
• About 15 of us extras were sent to a room to do sound work with Mr. Banner the Bio teacher… that never happened… we were in there for almost on hour w/ absolutely nothing to do but wait…
• Then they remembered us in the room and sent us back to aud. And on the way there we saw Rob getting up w/ his hand down the front-neck part of his shirt, I can only assume that he was removing microphones of sorts.
• Then we all went to lunch and I was right in across from Robert at the buffet line, and someone near me said something funny, and I laughed… he looked up at me funny-like, his contacts in, and then my new friends and I watched him for a couple more seconds and went to eat lunch. ^^
• Kristen, Katie(Kristen’s double), and Rob had a very good lunch together… they were laughing and what-not.
• After we got to our table… we saw Mike, and he was talking to someone and not watching where he was going… so he ran into a wall… we started laughing, naturally, and he looked at us w/ the most adorable smile and said in a very “stern” (LOL!) voice, “Hey! You didn’t see anything! ANYTHING!” while shaking his finger at us… it was sooooo cute!
• After lunch the same people from before were sent into the room where we were to meet w/ the bio teacher, we were there for two hours then he came in, but no sound department, so he just chilled with us for about 20 minutes… and “Tyler” joined us…
• (some extras brought skateboards) So there were like three guys skateboarding in the auditorium, and ‘ Tyler ’ was doing it too, well he didn’t turn in time and he ran into this weird fabric-pole-lighting fixture, it was SO hilarious!

That is the interesting and not so interesting day… the extras(except for those who were in the bio classroom) were only used for about 1.5 hours out of 11.5 hours today! But, I wouldn’t give up this chance for anything!

Earlier, we shared a fan moment that Mae had on the set of Twilight.  We also shared with you the comments from Kate about watching that moment.  Now we have video footage of Robert meeting Mae.  It’s so adorable!  Thanks to twilightvinculum for posting the video.

The ladies at Twilight Theories met Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmett, the other day and had a brief chat with him.  Thanks to numerous people who emailed in.

The excitement is winding down at Kalama High School. The crews are busy teching out. You know a movie shoot is over when people start picking up their stunt shrubbery and loading it onto trucks.  Filming is now moving to new locations. We are fortunate enough to have an extra who will share her experience (to the degree allowed by her Summit contract) without spoiling the experience that is all heading to us on December 12th.

So in one last homage to the amazing Kalama shoot, we thought we’d post one last Lexiconer encounter. Thanks to Mae for sharing.

So today was the last day of filming at Kalama … and my sister and I were not about to let that go to waste. Ironically enough, we were in the area (Seattle) and my older sister was willing enough to drive us, despite the fact she’s never read the books (that will soon change!). Ain’t she great?

So we left around 10 am and arrived around 12 pm. The whole way there I had major butterflies in my stomach. When I saw that "Kalama" sign, I knew THIS WAS IT.

Kalama. What a tiny, tiny, tiny town! It’s literally two blocks long and everyone knows everyone. The high school is an elementary and middle school as well. Yes, it’s true. All the kids in the town go to the same school! Coming from a large city (Vancouver, Canada) I found that surprising and different. So we arrived there and got awesome parking! We saw that there were some Twilight fans there too and we all came together immediately. Apparently we JUST missed Robert and that REALLY bummed my sister and I out. But we didn’t loose hope. We talked to Peter, an extra on the movie. He tried out for Sam, but didn’t get it.  Then we met Jeff who worked on DVD features.

We watched the crew film some shots that included some extras. That was really cool. Me and my sister were all paranoid that the security guards would be all anal, but seriously … I’ve never met so many chill professionals ever! They were there, talking to us and what not. It was a good surprise.

So we were all sitting by a log, just hanging and talking when I noticed a pale, glowing thing in the corner of my eye. I turned and there he was. Robert Pattinson. My heart literally stop and I went all bug eyed. Then finally, when my brain finally connected with the rest of my body, I grabbed my sister and just blurbed "Rob! Robert! Edward. He’s right here. Robert. Edward is there. That’s Rob!" and she was like "Whaaat!?". Everyone was looking at me like I was crazy, because everyone’s angle had the trailers covering him. Then when he was heading inside everyone was like "Oh!! It is him!". I knew I wasn’t crazy.

So, the waiting was fun. It was unusually sunny and warm. I wasn’t complaining though. We didn’t eat breakfast so we decided to go get some lunch with the other Twi-Hards there. Me and my sister were certain we weren’t hungry, but once we took one bite of our Subway sub … we realized how hungry we were! Then we headed back to the set.

Now this is when the magic happened.

We waited for quite awhile when Robert graced us with his presence. My other sister was the one who noticed him … and she knows NOTHING about this! So again, my heart acted in a way I’m pretty sure isn’t normal. So after taking about 10 pictures of him, it was time to wait once again. Then … he came out again. This time he was walking this way.

He looked at me and I waved. He the smiled and I asked "Hi! Can we take a picture with you?" And he was like "Sure" in his lovely British accent. Ladies, he looked AMAZING with his pale skin, auburn hair, liquid topaz eyes and plumped red lips. I always knew he’d make an amazing Edward, so this encounter just sealed the deal. For all those who doubted or are doubting him … cast your worries aside. You have a young man, whose gorgeous, has a very sweet, subtle personality and not to mention … he has class. Edward’s portrayal is in good hands.

Oh! And might I add … when my sister and I took a picture with him, he did the Edward smirk and he NAILED in. I know he did that on purpose 😉 How am I still breathing? I have no idea.

Kate had this buried in the comments section.  I wanted to bring it to the front page. It think it’s great that stars get recognition for just being nice and genuine rather than to junk you get on a TMZ ambush.

I was fortunate enough today to see him in person, up close. My friend and I went to Kalama hoping to see any of the cast during filming today. We got to the school early this morning and were told they were doing indoor filming all day today. We were naturally disappointed but decided to stick around for a while. We were given permission by the school to see if we could find anything fun happening outside. For three hours we sat outside, in the cold and damp, watching endless take after take of some of the kids being used as extras and their coming and goings outside the school. I was getting bored and wanted to leave but my friend insisted on waiting a while longer.

Also, in other news, one of our members has been picked up as an extra in the upcoming biology scene. Although she is not going to be allowed to take pictures, she has promised to let us know what it’s like shooting as an extra in the biology scene to the extent that her agreement with Summit permits.  We’ll get some goodies, but not anything that will spoil the film.

The Lexicon team has been busy working behind the scenes to do a number of things.  We’ve been fortunate enough to have recent interviews with Edi Gathegi, Justin Chon, and we are waiting on the not too distant future of a couple of others.

However, we really felt like we had to get the fans involved in the planning of a future one. After Robert Pattinson finishes filming, his management has graciously agreed to let us submit questions for an interview. Now, although we have questions we are dying to ask, more importantly there are questions Twilight fans in general want to know. Rather than have us guess at your questions, we want to hear from you.

Now of course we can’t submit every question, but we’ll look for common trends and ask Rob what you really want to know. Submit your questions by this Friday to [email protected]. That will give our team enough time to look through and provide the questions to Rob’s management.

There is now a countdown timer on Stephenie’s website leading to the Breaking Dawn release.

Both Twilight Moms and The Lion and the Lamb LiveJournal Communities are reporting that the Columbia Gorge Restaurant, Viewpoint Inn will be used as a filming location. The restaurant’s own website all but names the movie. (How many other major motion pictures that are shooting in the Pacific Northwest that release December 12, 2008 could there possibly be.) The location features some spectacular views. It is unknown whether it will be an interior, exterior, or both location.
