Nashville Prom

I just got an e-mail from Stephenie that briefly mentioned that the Davis Kidd bookstore here in Nashville will be holding a satalite prom!!  I don’t have all the details yet.  The lady in charge is supposed to e-mail me tomorrow, but I wanted to get the word out NOW.  All I know is that it is a ticketed event and that the tickets will go on sale Wednesday.  It’s held on the same date, May 5, as all the other Proms.  The first chapter of the book will be read at the event as well as other games and such.  It starts at 4:30 pm and will go for about an hour and a half.  Their phone number is 385 – 2645.

I’m going!  Who’s with me?  I imagine that any lexiconers will head over for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory or some other location after the Prom.

I’m editing this to make it clear to everyone that Stephenie will not be at the Nashville Prom.  She will only be at the one in Phoenix.  However, I will be at the Nashville Prom!  And so will Silly Bella, bronzehairedgirl, and Be My Escape.  At least, that’s what they told me!  LOL!

And I’m editing this one more time to make the comment Stephenie left below visible to everyone!  This is direct from Stephenie to all of us, her fans!

"I want to encourage people (whether they be in New Jersey, Michigan, Hawaii, Canada, Malaysia, etc.) to have their own Satellite Eclipse Proms on May 5th. Either go to a friendly bookstore and see if they are willing to host, talk to your favorite YA librarian, or have a mini-prom with your five best Twilight friends in your living room. Dress up in your mom’s old formals and then take pictures of the group–I’ll set up an email for the pictures, and put some of them on my site (I’d say ALL, but I don’t think I have that kind of bandwidth). The New Moon Special Edition will be out in time for you to read that first chapter of Eclipse at your satellite party. Have Twilight cookies and muffins and watch movies with your favorite Twilight casting choices or color pictures of Edward and send them to Pel’s fanart site. Have fun with it. We may not be able to all have prom together physically, but we can be proming together in spirit, ha ha."
