Overseas Release Parties! Heads Up UK and Australia

Kudos to Borders for stepping up in the international market as well! Here’s part of an email received by Cullenist that talks some details.
"Thanks for your reply. We will definitely be going ahead with some events and activities surrounding the release of Breaking Dawn on the afternoon and evening of Saturday 2nd August (the book is released here then too, not the 4th as was previously reported).
A fancy dress competition and a quiz sound like great ideas, we will definitely try and incorporate them into the day…I have been thinking about holding a party in store in the evening …
By the way, you may want to let you friends know that ALL Borders stores, such as the Birmingham one, around the country will be holding some activities on Saturday 2nd to celebrate the release. However, you should also tell them that Oxford Street’s party is going to be much bigger and better than the others!!"
Now for those of you who live in Australia, things are starting to shape up, but they need a little help from you, the fans. Here’s the scoop the long-time Lexiconer Alexa Stone:
We have been trying to get people to let us know how interested they would be, but we are having some major trouble getting people as any place we are posting at doesn’t anywhere near get the kind of visitors the Lexicon gets in one day alone. We would very much like to have this event, which will not be going ahead if we do not get the numbers."

I hope the Borders in Birstall has one, but not many people near me know about Twilight (i don’t think so anyway), so i’ll have to trek to the Birmingham one. It’s only about an hour away.
PS. And the picture of the cast? (Can’t post any more comments on that post) is brilliant!

I don’t mind that it’s photoshopped a lot, it’s still amazing to see them look in character
ALICE is the most perfect casting they’ve chosen. She fits the character great and just IS Alice.
EMMETT is probably second most perfect casting. (Actually, they are ALL perfect, even though i had doubts to begin with.) He looks like a big strong bear
BELLA looks beautiful. She looks really into character and i love the fact that her skin has pink in it, where all the Cullens have chalky, marble-like skin.
EDWARD, well there aren’t words to descrbe how perfect he is for the role. He just completely has the ‘Dangerous yet georgeous’ look about him.
ROSALIE looks beautiful. She looks like she can play the hostile character perfectly.
JASPER looks so cute with his puffed out chest. He’s always been a great pick.

Barnes and Noble seems to have jumped on the ‘release parties in most stores’ bandwagon. I don’t know about the UK or AUS but they’re having them in the US.

Hmm i am a bit worried as going on the Borders oxford street events it says that it is on August 4th 8am… which is right? I need to get my count down right!!
I’ve been searching this on the web and firstly every single bookshop in the UK and amazon i still saying its released on the 4th and none of htem say anything at all about a midnight release, they are all saying that they are having parties which dont start till 8am!
so if anyone knows of a borders actually doing a midnight release please please tell me!
