If you haven’t done an official Twilight convention yet, the final ones are taking place this fall in several cities:
San Antonio
Detroit
Parsippany, New Jersey
Burbank
Various actors are attending different conventions. For the final one in Burbank (changed from the traditional LA Marriott Airport location), unfortunately Rob, Kristen, and Taylor are not slated to appear as they have in previous years. The Creation site states:
Although Rob, Kristen and Taylor will not be with us this time out we will have a super line-up of other Twilight stars and the weekend will be filled with special events, movie prop and costume displays, contests, panels, auctions, parties, exclusive merchandise, music and much more, including some surprise
Other guests may pop in depending on their schedule since the convention traditionally coincides with the press junket which typically takes place in nearby Los Angeles. Though various media outlets are incorrectly reporting that Robert, Kristen, and Taylor cancelled appearances on all four conventions, long-time convention fans realize that they were never scheduled for the first three locations. So they did not cancel out on three events. Their availability (or lack thereof in this case) for the November convention is likely tied (since Taylor is not appearing either) to PR commitments that weekend for the final film. Note the Creation site doesn’t state they “cancelled” a term that they typically use when a star backs out for a filming or other conflict. It just says “not appearing” which sounds to us like they weren’t booked to begin with.

Why final one? There are still Star Trek cons from the TV shows. Or is it that Creation won’t have exclusive rights to the actors appearances for Twilight related things?

Hard to believe the lack of an appearance at the last Twilight Convention has absolutely nothing to do with the scandal, especially since Creation usually holds out a bit longer on announcing if the big three will or will not make an appearance, but oh well. It is what it is and I am sort of happy Tay and Rob will not be there either. Even without K there, the questions and shouting from the fans would probably make things awkward. I was at the LA Convention last year and some of the things fans were shouting during the big three’s time onstage were embarrassing and inappropriate. This scandal is without a doubt a PR nightmare.
hey Twihards ~ why rely on someone to fulfill your dreams? the Robsten bubble was blasted, but so what? the whole thing that makes fans so crazy about Twilight is love. the stubbornness of Edward, who waits for almost a hundred years to find his one and only, has touched every lady’s heart. and Bella, who loves Edward more than her own life, is so natural. i still believe. don’t get let down or give up.
