Twilight: The Musical, a parody of the Twilight book and movie saga, examines our culture of obsession through the story of teenage outsider Bella Swan who risks everything when she embarks on a star-crossed romance with Vampire Edward Cullen. Song titles include: “Life Sucks When Your Boyfriend Is A Vampire”, “Death Never Sounded So Good”, and “I Imprinted on an Infant.”

Twilight: The Musical was created by Ashley Griffin, and features a book by Ashley Griffin, with music and lyrics by Jeremy Ezell, Ashley Griffin, Sean Mahoney, David Mallamud, and Michael Sutherland. The show had its first workshop in NYC in 2010 at the LABA theater, and is currently in development in NYC.

New World Stages is located in Manhattan at 340 West 50th Street, New York, NY 10019. Tickets are available by visiting http://www.telecharge.com/BehindTheCurtain.aspx?ProdID=8718, by calling telecharge, or visiting the New World Stages box office.

Blessings in a Backpack (http://www.blessingsinabackpack.org/) is a unique program designed to feed elementary school children whose families qualify for the federal Free and Reduced Price Meal program, and have little to no food on the weekends. Better test scores, improved reading skills, positive behavior; improved health and increased attendance have all been attributed to the success of this program. $80 feeds a child in the program for an entire school year.

Blessings in a Backpack is a 501 C (3) non-profit organization currently feeding over 55,000 children in 318 schools in 37 U.S. states and three countries – Canada, Columbia and Haiti.

  1. CullenCoven says:

Oh my god (laughs and shakes head)

  2. Lauren Lopez as Alice! Haha sweet!

  3. I can’t wait to see this!

  4. I love the fact Lauren Lopez is in it. But I saw a part of it on youtube and it really reminded me of vampires suck, which I didn’t really like. (Not because it was a spoof parody but because of the lame and unoriginal jokes.)
