So far Cinemark is the first chain who has stepped up to the plate. We sadly had one of our readers report that another major movie chain state that it was just too much trouble.
Get the details here They are also featuring a Twilight Tuesdays event where you can see each film on different Tuesday nights. See the details here.

My sister-in-law forwarded an e-mail to me about Goorich Movie Theatres offering viewing of the three previous Twilight Saga movies on the Tuesday’s leading up to Breaking Dawn’s opening. It looks like all of the theatres are in these four states: Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri. Here is the website: http://www.gqti.com/twilightsaga.aspx.
You are so lucky to have tickets already. I’m in the L.A area and BOTH major chains (AMC and Regal) are NOT doing the marathon. So far, the closest theater holding it is an hour away.
I am so disappointed.
Hey Regal Theater in LA are having the marathon for 15 on Nov 15.
If anyone is questioning if they should do the marathon, I encourage you to do it. I did last year and it was so much fun! The atmosphere is really great because you know that anyone who is willing to sit through 8 hours of twilight in a row is a true fan and as the evening goes on everyone gets more and more excited for the premier. Also, I was surprised that despite having seen the previous films so many times on DVD it was a totally different experience to watch them on the big screen where everyone in the audience really reacted to their favorite parts because they knew the movies so well. There was gasping, giggling, cheering and swooning and you really felt like you were with a community of people who loved this story as much as you. Awesome. Next best thing to going to a convention if they are beyond your reach.
that does sound fun i want to the midnight showing of harry potter 7 part 2 and it was fun there cause someone went i say harry you say potter it was funny to hear every one do that
i am going to the Twilight Marathon. i am so excited.
Wish they’d do something like this in my area. They did for Harry Potter 7.2, so maybe they will for Breaking Dawn Pt 2 too. It would be SO worth it! 45 days to go!
Cinemark rocks! That’s the theatre I was planning to go to for this anyway, & it’s great to have the choices!
Already got my marathon tickets!!! WHOO HOO!!!
45 days till marathon day baby!
my bf just got our tickets to go see it cause its a birthday present from him and the person he is living with cause my birthday is the day the marathon starts on cant wait to go
My old body doesn’t want to sit through all the previous movies at one time. I tried to get the Tuesday series. Referred to fathomevents.com for tickets and location info….nothing on that site about Breaking Dawn at all. not happy camper right now.
Yes, I noticed the same thing. I’d love to do the one a week thing, but there’s absolutely no info on the website about it. Why tell us to go to fathomevents.com for further info if there’s no info on there?? Grrr.
I sent a message via the web site ‘contact us’ button to Cinemark and FathomEvents. Hopefully some more info will be put up on the web sites soon.
There is now info on the fathomevent.com web site, but still unable to buy tickets in my local area. Progress slow.
If you’re in Michigan, Celebration Cinema are doing marathons at all their locations!
I wasn’t going to do it at first, but I figured I’d be at the theatre anyway waiting in line, so why not pass the time by watching the others?
Harkins is doing it too. They’re mostly in Arizona, but have locations in other states too.
That is an amazing price for four films, lol
unfortunately I live in the tampa bay, fl area and none of the theaters around here are showing the marathon
Has anyone found a theater in Canada (Ontario) that’s doing a marathon? In past years they have done them but I’m having trouble finding one this year.
As of today there are 5 of us going to the marathon at Cinemark in Valley View, Ohio. So excited to see all of them in a row. Taking 1/2 day off from work on Thurs. & all day on Friday to recoup & see BD again:) We are so excited!!!! Is it November yet??
Thanks for posting something based on my email to you regarding a saga marathon. I can say that folks that frequent AMC are not happy according to the Contact Us board on their website. I hope all the fans can find a theater near them with a saga marathon if that’s their preference. It was for me. It’s about the shared excitement around experiencing the latest premier with other devoted fans. I’m not sure that AMC, and possibly some other theaters, are understanding that.
I live near Bloomington, IL. Wehrenberg Theaters is hosting a marathon. $32.50 for all 4 movies!
You’re so interesting! I do not think I’ve read through
something like this before. So great to discover someone with some original thoughts on this issue.
Really.. many thanks for starting this up.
This website is one thing that is needed on the internet, someone with
a little originality!
