Myra McEntire has been a friend to the Lexicon for years. If you are from the Nashville area you may have seen her helping run our movie events there. In fact, when we were being asked to run an event in Nashville in November 2009, Myra volunteered to run it knowing we couldn’t be there. Today is a big day for Myra and we are helping her celebrate by revealing her book cover and hosting a giveaway! Hourglass, Myra’s debut novel from Egmont USA, will be released on May 24th.

I’ve had the chance to read Hourglass and trust me you want this book. The writing is witty and snarky. Emerson is one of the sassiest main characters I’ve ever met and she isn’t going to let anyone push her around. Enter Michael, the boy who has the answers, well some of them, and a wicked smile. The story is fast paced and filled with memorable characters. (just wait until you meet Kaleb) Add in the timeslip factor and you have a truly unique story.

This definitely sounds like my kind of read! I would dearly love to win this arc. Christmas left my already limited reading fund (my one “vice”) sorely depleted – I couldn’t resist dipping into it to spoil my girls – I just wanted to get them a few more books after I had already spent my entire Christmas budget and then some. Awesome cover and the story sounds great! I have probably seen Myra at one of the events.
I love everything about this book. I added it to my TBR list before the cover came out, and now that I see the cover I want it even more. It’s creepy in a way, but it goes SO well with what the book is about. I LOVE love love this cover!
