Colin Firth Meet Edward Cullen

Chalk this up under things I never thought I’d put in the title of a blog post ever. Anyway, if you haven’t seen The King’s Speech yet, go watch it, it’s brilliant!

  1. I’m SICK of the never-ending attention Twilight is getting from the media. It makes me completely turned off to anything to do with the saga. Stop Twilight-izing every single thing. It’s nauseating.

On a happier note, Colin Firth is phenomenal. I’ve always loved him has an actor. The King’s Speech is utterly fantastic!

    • Amen Sista!!
I feel sorry for the actors of the franchise. Every time they venture out to do something else and promote their latest work, this series is the one asked most about. I think it’s unprofessional of the media persons who can’t focus on the topics at hand.

  2. Love, love, love Colin Firth. If you haven’t seen HIS version (1995 BBC) of Pride & Prejudice, please do yourself a favor and watch it – all glorious 5 hours! Austen’s books are heavily played up in Twilight – they could have at least tied that in to make the question seem less random.

  3. The Twilight question seemed totally random! But I’m glad they asked it because that is what made this delightful interview show up on the Lexicon, and I might have missed it otherwise. Watch The King’s Speech — it is amazing!

Super cute. I keep thinking that some reputable Jane Austen society should pick a great fanfic “Pride and Prejudice” sequel, and bring back Colin and Jennifer to reprise their roles as middle-aged Darcy and Elizabeth before it’s too late. I’m swooning just imagining it.

  5. Cute! Love Colin Firth.
