Hit Fix asks if any film out there can beat New Moon in the race for winners at the MTV Movie Awards to take place this Sunday. They give their predictions and their reasons why they think there will be some surprised.
There is still time to vote and prove them wrong!
Can’t vote. Every time I attempt to log on to MTV, site says I’m not. Even tried to create new name, still no success.

I’ve tried many times to logon to the MTV site to vote. It keeps telling me to log in; I do, but it says I’m not logged in. I’ve tried by using the Lexicon link as well as doing it on my own.
I’d hate to think there was a conspiracy going on here, but I think it’s very suspicious that I voted once, and now can’t vote again. There are ways to track email adddresses,and then block them. Not that I’m saying MYV would do this, but there seems to be a trend in these emails. I’m curious to see if Jill Whitfield logs off MYV, and tries to log back on, if she is able to do so. I hoope I’m wrong on the conspiracy theory!
i am maybe the lucky one to be able to stay logged in and vote. i don[t sign out i always come back and vote.
so i am hoping that all of my votes counts because i know it’s alot of vote.
and people please understand i did see avatar and i did see alice in wonderland and they are book great movies but i am the type of person to keep on voting that i love. and plus both avatar and wonderland are 3D. new moon is regular. so i am voting for new moon until saturday

Since Alice in Wonderland freaked me out (Doormouse and the Bandersnatch’s eye anyone????) and I absolutely LOATHED Avatar, I have to admit I can’t see the appeal. That of course is a personal opinion, but one that I have reinforced by voting as often as possible for New Moon! Let’s see some more Twilight wins!
Glad to know I’m not the only one who wasn’t all that impressed with Avatar…it was okay, I didn’t loathe it, but I was expecting something much better after hearing all the reviews.

While I love the Twilight series and I loved New Moon, I still say Avatar should win Best Movie. It was pretty awesome. But I am pulling for Best Kiss in New Moon!

You’re right, and that is why I don’t particularly like these shows, because there will be a lot of really good movies that won’t win a thing because of folks who will vote for New Moon, not because it was really THAT good, but because it is simply connected to the Twilight Saga. IF everyone voted fairly, while New Moon should win some awards, it wouldn’t win by a landslide, as I’m sure it will. In short… I will be wholeheartedly disappointed if Kristen Stewart beats Zoe Salnada (Natiri from Avatar) as best actress. Avatar should also take home the award for best picture too. New Moon was good, but you just can’t beat the pantherline Na’vi!
I vote many times a day and I will be disappointed if New Moon doesn’t take it all SO VOTE GUYS AND show the world that we are the most dedicated fanbase.

I was having the same problem as the people above, getting the not logged in message, but then I just hit refresh on the voting page and it worked.
I voted …. but HOW DARE THEY have both EDWARD and JACOB up for the same award. It’s cruel and unusual punishment for true fans to be forced to pick one over the other… they both should win equally.
For true dire-hard Twilight fans… shouldn’t be Jacob vs. Edward? At any rate, I voted for Johnny Depp… You CAN’T beat the Depp…
I know, he is a global superstar, I voted for him too.
Of course my reasoning is this. Johnny Depp has a host of triple A titles in back of his name. He’s done numerous roles and is extremely successful in just about whatever film he’s been in. He is one of the greatest character actors there is… Heath Ledger would have come second… in my opinion.
While I like Robert and Taylor, Twilight seems to be their only calling card for global fame. That might change later on, but at the moment, they can’t match the career of the Depp…:)

Anyone who votes for Robert, Taylor or Kristen over Johnny Depp is delusional.
To be honest I didn’t vote for New Moon in any categories because they just didn’t deserve it. I am a huge fan (mostly of the books) but they didn’t hold a candle to any of the other nominees

I voted for Logan Lerman, coz I know he deserves it as a breakout role
I voted for Sam Worthington-for clash of titans
or for Zac efron as a best male or something-coz I know he deserves it over Rob and Taylor
and also for Avatar, Sandra Bullock and what not
i think that if any movie beats New Moon it will be Avatar i mean it has a huge following just like the Twilight movies and it was HUGE this year so yeah just my opinion but still rootin for New Moon ;D
Okay, there is a conspiracy going on here, no doubt about it. I’ve tried logging in via Lexicon, accessing MTV through the browser, and I’ve refreshed/reloaded and still NOTHING!! I’ve even had MTV send me my password. Zip! Zilch! NADA! I’ve tried from my work computer, too. Nope! Can’t vote. I guess James Cameron and Johnny Depp are really desperate for a win! There are too many of us who are unable to logon to vote for it just to be a coincidence.
I think the fact of not being able to log in has to do with the type of internet service one has. It’s just a theory though, because I have Verizon and couldn’t log on to MTV, yet when I tried on my cosuin’s computer and she has at&t, I could log on and vote, so again just a theory.
I didn’t like that kiss scene, to be honest. It felt awkward to me. There were better.
I felt the first one, or I guess the second one because they kiss at school, was kind awkward. But the last two, in Italy and at home after Italy, were very… I don’t know how to describe them, sincere maybe? I think that if New Moon is going to win for best Kiss, it should win for the Italy kiss (or even the one after Italy in her room, but not the one next to her truck)

GUYS pls. just vote right. making New Moon win in every category for the MTV Movie awards would kinda make this show kind of less exciting. And it shows that we people have no idea of voting for who deserves an award if we just keep voting for newmoon.

I vote for what I liked, not for what people say is right. If I wanted to watch certain movies win I would watch The Academy Awards and stuff like that, which I’m not impressed with those anyways. I vote for the things that I like and I think people did a good job in. Besides aren’t these a matter of opinion anyways?
I was watching mtv news one day and they said that the twilight fans were just voting repeatedly for everything twilight in the past and that voting was changing this time around. They felt that fans were voting unfairly so that’s the change. Isn’t that why you let the fans vote???
I voted but I will try again too to see if that happens to me. There is NO film or Best Kiss or best Actors that will ever Beat Tilight or anything associated with it xxxxxxxxx
