Great news from Creation Entertainment!

As a way of thanking Twilight fans worldwide for the success of The Official TWILIGHT Convention Tour, Creation Entertainment is offering a special general admission discount coupon for the upcoming tour stop in ATLANTA on March 5-7, 2010 at the beautiful Westin Buckhead Hotel. With the coupon daily general admission will be discounted by $15 to a price of only $10. The first 500 attendees using this coupon at the door of the convention will also receive a complimentary hand signed autographed photo of a Twilight star.

The three day Atlanta visit includes appearances by Twilight celebrities PETER FACINELLI (Dr. Carlisle Cullen), GIL BIRMINGHAM (Billy Black), KIOWA GORDON (Embry Call), DANIEL CUDMORE (Felix), CHRISTOPHER HEYERDAHL (Marcus) and MICHAEL WELCH (Mike Newton). Hosted by popular Twilight parody film makers THE HILLYWOOD SHOW, the convention in Atlanta also features exclusive video presentations, contests (trivia, costume, and centerpiece), auctions, panel discussions by top sites (Twilight Lexicon, TwilightMOMS, and The Official Twilight FACEBOOK Page), parties, musical performances, autographing and photo opportunities.

Amy Murphy of Creation Entertainment stated, “Attendees have been so gracious and welcoming to The Official Twilight Convention Tour that we decided to try to open the opportunity to even more potential attendees by lowering the price of admission to the same cost of a movie. We really want all our fellow Twilight fans to experience a full day of themed entertainment and we’re going all out in Atlanta to deliver a wonderful weekend of fun”

Thanks to Creation for this great heads up!

i’m pretty sure that its not that summitt is being nice…its that the show isn’t selling.

if they wanted to be nice they could’ve said some news about eclipise or the trailer

    • Franzi says:

How can they tell anything about Eclipse??? Creation Entertainment has nothing to do with Summit so they probably don’t know anymore than we do right now.

Btw – I will be in Atlanta and I’m looking forward to it! =)

    • krissy says:

I agree with on the show not selling. And Summit being not nice but Franzi is correct Creation Entertainment has nothing to do with the Eclipse production. But Franzi Summit and Creation Entertainment have a contract agreement to do these tours. I have been to several and each time the attendance gets smaller. And its clearly not being offer to EVERYONE so its not really that nice. These companies only want our money and they get it. A Commerical Fanbase is what we have become. and ITS A SHAME. $15 dollars for general admission, 20-40 dollars for autographs and photos, twilight stuff like 5-200 dollars, movie ticket 8-15 bucks and money in your wallet zero. the last one i went to was in july 2009 and it sucked. boring. same thing over and over again. yes small change but still the same. i am done with conventions.

      • krissy says:

correction 25 bucks for general admission and activities like Volturi Vampire Ball and autographs and photos is like up to 120 bucks each. rip off. insane.

        • christa says:

I went to the one in nashville with general admission tickets and paid extra to get photos with most of the guests and did not feel ripped off at all. I had a great time, met some great friends, learned alot and laughed alot at all the panels, and got to say something to and hug every celeb that I met.

Plus, Creation Conventions are so much better than most because you don’t have to wait in extra lines once you register, you just go right in and take your seat.

        • Twilight_News says:

Your opinion about what you do or don’t like is certainly up to you. As is your opinion about what is or isn’t a rip off.

However the prices you are quoting are not accurate.

          The ball is $99
          Autographs are $20-$25 each
Photo ops are $40-$60 depending how many stars are in photos
You can get in on a single day pass for as little as $25
If you want a Gold package that includes autographs from everyone, up front seating, the ball, and the concert you can get that for $319. And there are other packages that give you other combos.

So depending on your preference and budget there are options.

I totally agree with Jessica I went last yr and it was absolutely the best weekend ever cause they had amazing guests and music..this yr not so much…and for some reason the Atlanta one is the most expensive this year…10 dollars will get u in the q and a in the very bak where u can barely see whos talking.maybe im jus spoiled cause I’ve been to so many but I will say its an awesome environment to be in cause the people are soooooo nice.I’m passing on this one and goin in December

  3. missy pride says:

    Hey, Jessica:
Why look a gift horse in the mouth? I’m taking advantage of this offer as I’m a college student on a BIG budget and couldn’t afford it till now. Actually I called Creation and found out that the tickets are selling well (as they have on the rest of the tour) but they have tons of room at the hotel, therefore the offer.
It is pretty cool of them: getting an entire convention and an autographed photo (worth $30 I’d say) for 10 measly bucks! Even a college student (working 2 jobs) can afford that!
    Missy

  4. missy pride says:

    Hey Alexis:
There are 7 guests and full days of cool entertainment, pretty good deal for $10 a day. The back of the room isn’t like a huge theatre, the convention auditoriums aren’t that big.
I’ll be there as I said!
    MIssy

  5. missy pride says:

    Krissy:
$10 for general admission with the coupon, that’s the point of the article! When you go to a movie you don’t get autographs and photo ops so why not enjoy for $10 an entire day of the convention?
Those that can afford the extras can get them: sort of like popcorn and a drink at the movies.
    I can’t wait!
    Missy

    • krissy says:

great deal for the general admission…but the activities are extra 20-50 bucks for autograph each, photos are like 30-60 bucks, and the ball is like 100 all not included in the general admission. Trust me I am Star Wars fan too. I pay less alot less. all admission are inclusive packages cheapest was 120 bucks for three days that included up to 10 autographs and photos, q and a, and other activities. I prefer their convention rates and convention period so much more fun.

      • missy pride says:

        Hey, Krissy:
I’m a Star Wars nut too and went to the Official Star Wars Convention in Indianapolis. There were a million people there and everyone waited on long disorganized lines to nowhere, fun though to see all the costumes.
You had to wait, wait, wait to MAYBE see the stars. The Twilight Conventions are so much better: everyone gets a seat.
        Missy

        • krissy says:

Actually THAT just means Star Wars has more fans and it was very organized at Indianapolis. Denver was the worst organized and they were still great. the wait to the stars was very fast at all the conventions including Denver. As for “The Twilight Conventions are so much better: everyone gets a seat.” yeah there is a reason for that. its called poor attendance.

          • Twilight_News says:

The New Jersey, Tenessee, and I believe last year Atlanta conventions sold out and everyone had a seat. It’s part of a guarantee that they sell you an assigned seat so you absolutely know what you are getting.

If you don’t want a coupon or don’t want to attend it’s not your thing or whatever no big deal, but for someone who does want to go it saves them money.

  6. Jennifer says:

Wow Krissy bitter much? LOL you know maybe it just wasn’t your thing, but why so pissy about an oppurtunity for others to have a great experience who may not have been able to otherwise? With all the moaning on some of these boards about “scummit” and other companies milking us fans for every dime we have you would think CE could get some well deserved luv for passing on a little savings! Sheesh!

    • krissy says:

I am not bitter. I hope people do go but they need the whole picture-positive and negative. I went to almost every convention before summit join up with them back in august then I went to a few after. it become less fun for me. commericalism took over. drained the fun out. CE is only doing this for marketing to get more people and more people. 10 dollar is great but you have to pay extra alot extra to do the activities.

  7. toky says:

I will be attending this specially now that the gral admission is only $10… I’m however confused about how to get the discount because the prices on the page are still $25… Can anybody help me out?

  8. alexis says:

Wow I can’t believe how easily people get upset over something so small..LIKE I SAID…10 bucks is really good I agree..but good luck being able To see them because ull be in the back…that’s alllllllll I said..I went last. Year and sat front row so its just not my thing..which is also what I said..its not like ur gonna meet any of them for 10 bucks..this is. A great example of you get what u pay for…I was just simply sharing my opinion

  9. renee says:

Jeez. Kristy. No, she is not bitter. I know her very well. We had an incident back in the fall. When we went to report the issue to a convention official we were told “That’s not my job.” and when we asked “Who do we go to for this?” The official said “I don’t know go find out yourselves.” It was rude and unprofessional. She has more reasons than me on not going to another Twilight convention as she stated. I want to go to another convention but I can’t do Atlanta.. I have other commitments like work and school. I hope they offer this again because I am a poor grad student with books and tuition and rent and car payment coming first. Ten dollars is great but BUYERS BEWARE IF YOU WANT TO DO THE ACTIVITIES ITS MORE MONEY. CHECK THE PRICES FIRST.

    • scullylisa says:

Tell specifically which convention this happened at, probably not The Official Twilight Convention. There are others that are run by other people that have similar names.
I went to the Creation Official Twilight Convention and it was totally awesome. Krissy: you are way out of line, $10 is what a movie costs and you are now getting a full day of fun. Cut everyone a break.
      Scullylisa

      • renee says:

Trust me it was a “Creation Official Twilight Convention”. It was Chicago. Krissy is not out of line say she should be a lil nicer about but 10 buck plus you have to pay more to be “getting a full day of fun”. They to warn people by stating CHECK THE PRICES OF ACTIVITIES BEFORE PURCHASING and I have looked at CE site there is no warning and there needs to be like every other convention, concert, and many other events. Its called Great Public Relations. It makes the public aware of what the total cost is so they can budget and in this time where people are still losing their jobs and they have family members(I know several) who really want to attend they can plan on total cost. I love my experience at the convention except for Chicago that was a killer and I do want people to attend especially first timers. But even you have to admit these convention are really not for thoses on a budget. Another thing for CE they should not announced this last minute but months ago. That is called GOOD Marketing. With that its not meant for everyone I wonder about those who aready purchase tickets. READ THE SMALL PRINT. Warnings like these are needed in both Marketing and Public Relations and even some are the LAW like the small print and others. I just wish they would think about people like me on a budget. And GET US TIME TO PLAN.

I just went to the Official Twilight convention in San Francisco. I went general admission and sat in the general admission section (which was about 17 rows back from the front. Had a fabulous time!
I was clearly able to see all the stars in attendance, in fact I saw 7 stars on stage (they were up there for an hour each). I also saw The Hillywood Show cast do a bunch of skits, some special interviews with the big Twilight stars, took part in trivia contests (though I didn’t win), saw the costume contest, listened to three panels with the major Twilight websites, bid at the auction, checked out the vendors room (spent way too much on souvenirs!) and met a lot of fans from around the country.
It cost me about $20 a day and it was well worth it. The Creation website is quite clear about what you get and don’t get, but I know the celebrities charge ALOT to appear so the money for photo ops and autographs that they charge goes to cover their speaking fees (and airfares, hotels, etc).

  10. Potch says:

Soooo, they’re only thanking fans in Atlanta? Whatever. None of these have come to my town.

  11. madeline says:

I just got home from traveling after attending Creation Entertainment’s Official Twilight Convention and I had a marvelous time as did everyone else there. It was a perfect weekend: lots of laughs and fun and I got to meet all the stars.

My daughter and her friends LOVED it all! We signed up for next year already. Make sure when you plan to go to a convention it is The Official Twilight Convention, they have their acts together and I spoke to several staff members all of whom were very, very nice.

  12. Wendy says:

I’m headed to New Orleans for the Vampire Baseball game – that should be way fun! I’ll get to see the celebs and collect some autographs too! Batter up!

  13. melanie says:

This new deal is going to come in handy for me as I want to go to the convention in Atlanta but just lost my job. $10 bucks I can scrape up, especially for an entire day of fun!
And I get to see some of my favorite stars there too.
Thanks Creation Entertainment (and boo to Renee and Krissy): you guys Rock!
