An actress from the Philippines, Shaina Magdayao, used a Twilight analogy to explain why she broke up with her actor boyfriend, John Pratts, and what she’s looking for in the future. She told the Phillippines Daily Inquirer:
“I like men who are mature. Guys like Jacob are still young and adventurous. They always want to explore,” Shaina explained. “I want to be able to look up to the person I’m with. With Edward [types], I feel I can discuss so many things. I find Edward very interesting. He has so many experiences in life that he can share with a girl. I want to be with a partner who is like him.”
Lexicon readers may remember that roughly a year ago there was a rumor that ran wild on the Internet for a weekend that there would be a Twilight TV series in the Philippines, and that it would star Shaina. In fact there was even a fake poster to (see left) to go along with the rumor.

That’s the number 1 university in the country. Also, i have a friend who graduated from the same school and is cum laude in theater arts.

I’m actually not surprised she would think that of John Pratts. He looks really young physically and mentally, and I’d imagine Shaina Magdayao, just like most girls, is looking for someone more mature. Girls, after all, mature faster than boys.
