Muse, which is arguably the band that has the single most connection to Stephenie Meyer’s writing, played on Saturday Night Live. Stephenie has met the band numerous times. Recently frontman Matthew Bellamy snapped a TwitPic of himself and Stephenie together. Stephenie thanks Muse for being “her Muse” in the Breaking Dawn acknowledgments.

i totally love Starlight
but Uprising is really cool too. I’d have to pick Starlight as my fav though
I like the first one more…which I’m guessing is Uprising. Very much a Breaking Dawn part 2 (I would like it to be called Forever Dawen) song. The second song is a very Eclipse song.
Starlight is one of my all time favorite songs by anybody.
I just watched SNL last night- the only good parts of that episode were the Muse songs. (and weekend update as always)

It would be sooo hard to choose a favourite. Muse has been one of my top bands for a few years, and their music is so faceted. I think “Endlessly” is my favourite mellow song, but “Newborn” is my pick for best song overall. Driving guitar, soaring vocals…You can’t go wrong! And, it would lend itself pretty well to the newborn uprising in Eclipse
Starlight was my ringtone until i lost that phone and my new one can’t get that ringtone. boo.
They were fantastic. “Starlight” is probably my favorite Muse song, though I could probably name 30 of their songs that I absolutely love.

it’s a hard choice… “Black Out”? on Stephanie’s playlist i thought “Apocalypse Please” was very apt for the beginning of New Moon.
“Falling Away With You”, and “Ruled By Secrecy” is what i listen to most nowadays…
I love them both. But right now Uprising is like number one on my playlist.

Of the two? It’s a tough decision, but probably Starlight – mostly because I’ve known it longer than Uprising, but also because it’s on my favourite album, Black Holes and Revelations.
My all time favourite Muse song is Map of the Problematique, even though I’ve listened to Supermassive Black Hole more times on my iTunes.
I’ve also grown attached to I Belong To You since New Moon premiered. It’s an awesome song to dance to!

I started reading twilight because i found out Stephenie Meyer was big Muse fan. Between “Uprising” and “Starlight”..I’d say i like “Starlight” more, but i still love “Uprising”. It’s way too hard to choose my favorite Muse song though. i can’t even choose a favorite from each album. Did they fix “Newborn” on Stephenie Meyer’s playlist on her website, it says “New Born”(P.S. I’m going to the same Muse show as her )

I was really hoping they would have played, “You Belong To Me” from the soundtrack. Muse was the only good thing about SNL. That was, by far, the worst SNL episode ever!
to be honest, i’ve only heard about them because of the Twilight soundtrack( yes, I’ve only watched the movies before reading the books) and I fell in <3 with em because of Stephanie Meyer!

I am obsessed with Muse. I loved them before I read Twilight, but after I made the connection, I loved them even more. Every Twilight fan should listen to their album “Absolution”. The songs tie in so perfectly with the books, and they are just beautiful and haunting. My favorite Muse song has long been “Sing for Absolution” but there are so many I love, I can’t even begin. They are amazing!
Totally agree, I received Absolution for Christmas the same year I started reading Twilight…I would HAVE to have it on when reading because it set the tone perfectly…and I think thats the album that best mixes their melodic and heavy songs. Perfection!!
I am not the biggest Muse fan, but I absolutly love, love, LOVE! “Our Time is Running Out” The beat is flipping epic and is hypnotic. A truely great piece of work!

out of the two vids, starlight is my fav. i love uprising too. out of all 80-some-odd songs they have (and yes, i do own them all) i have to say that Time is Running Out, Stockholm Syndrome, Undisclosed Desires, Blackout, Endlessly, Take a Bow,Soldier’s Poem, Exo-politics, knights of cydonia, shrinking universe, map of your head, space dementia, plug in baby, EVERY SINGLE SONG ON THE SHOWBIZ ALBUM, united states of Eurasia, MK ultra, i belong to you (both the original version and the movie remix), all 3 exogenisis songs. those are the ones i could name off the top of my head, but in a nutshell, i love them all. (don’t forget about Matthew being the hottest thing to roam the earth)i know this is long, but is there an inside joke or a movie reference going on with “Deadstar”? i dont get why he just says “what is he building in there?” over and over.
