Rachelle Lefevre’s Beloved Dog, Honey

Rachelle Lefevre’s dog, Honey, who Rachelle has spoken about numerous times died yesterday.

Honey had been sick for the past month, and was notably hospitalized on the day of the New Moon premiere. Honey was a adopted by Rachelle and her boyfriend from a rescue organization, a cause that Rachelle has long supported. In fact there is a current auction on Ebay to win a coffee date with Rachelle that supports this very cause. Our hearts go out to Rachelle, as anyone knows who is an animal lover, it is like losing a member of your family.

Rachelle, it’s a blessing for Honey to have spent time with you instead of in an animal shelter. I’m sure Honey passed away knowing your love and support instead of dying a homeless creature without anyone to care. My heart goes out to both of you.

  6. Carrie says:

How sad. I was just wondering about her dog yesterday. I know what it feels like to lose a pet that you’ve loved for years and I sympathize with her.

  7. thr33things says:

You’re so right that losing them is like losing family. It’s so hard to get over it; everything reminds you of them.

  10. Rosalie's Pain says:

Rachelle, tonight go outside and look at the sky. There will be a new star up there. I once heard that when dogs die and go to heaven, they dig a hole in the sky which looks like a star that way they can look down at you. Now Honey gets to watch over you like you watched over Honey:)

  11. lalli says:

im so sorry! i know how she must feel because my dog Maya was stolen not too long ago and to me it feels like she’s died so i can kinda relate because Maya was my baby. so im really happy she supports an animal rescue organization! i hope that with her help more pets will hav good homes.

  12. Margie says:

It is sad that this happened at Christmas. I am convinced that animals go to Heaven. There is much evidence of how much God loves all his creation in the Christian Bible. Hopefully she will fine comfort at this time.

  13. muse7 says:

I lost two dogs a few years ago. They were my first pets–I loved them for 13 years. We just adopted a shelter cat and she is wonderful. Pets are family.

I lost my little Princess a while back too. I had her for years and it impacted me so much to lose her, I can only imagine what you’re feeling like Rachelle, but I’m sure Honey truly appreciates what you did for her. She had a loving home with a wonderful person, I’m positive she’s happy where she is and you in her thoughts.

  16. talia says:

I feel horrible for Rachelle Lefevre. First, getting fired from “Eclipse”, now her dog is dead. I am very sorry Rachelle, I cried for you. Now is a time to mourn, but I am sure that Honey is doing well right now.

  17. RockinRobbin says:

I am so sorry for your loss Rachelle. The blessing in all of this is that you probably gave Honey the very best part of her life when she was with you. No animal should ever have to die alone in a shelter, nothing could more horrid in my mind. Your heart will heal, I’m sure it doesn’t feel like it now, but Honey opened a door in your heart. When you have had time to grieve for her, you may find another special one to love and to love you in return. That will be the best memorial you could ever give Honey.

  18. Pamela says:

Rachelle, tonight my thoughts & prayers are with you and your boyfriend. My hope is that you will find comfort knowing that the love you gave to Honey made her the happiest dog ever. God bless you both.

  19. So let your light shine before men that they may see your works and glorify your Father In Heaven.. Merry Christmas!

  20. Tea says:

*hug* I really know how do you feel and your tweet made me cry because I know I’ll be devastated once my dog won’t be with me any more… Honey is happy know and I’m pretty much sure he was before and that he had nice life. Adopt new one even though it won’t be the same but you’ll help new puppy with no home :) xoxo

  21. Kelly says:

I can’t believe this- Honey was adorable and she got ill so suddenly. My thoughts are with Rachelle and I hope she can get through this.

  22. switzy4ever says:
