i left the theatre after twilight thinking that not only did billy burke steal every scene he was in but the BEST acting in the movie came from him.
True that! He was amazing!
You know, I have to agree with you on this one. Burke really does a great job as Charlie. I thought he literally stole every scene. I wanted more of Charlie, actually. I hope we get to see more of him in the upcoming movies. Kind of reminds me of my dad. Gruff, but a little bit clueless.
I also agree that Anna Kendrick was great. She really traversed the divide between being friendly and being half-way jealous well. I have to say again, too, I enjoyed the dude who played Tyler. That scene with Tyler and Charlie in the hospital…for me, one of the better scenes in the movie.
I have seen other movies with Billy in them and he has always held his scenes well. At least I think so. I think that he does great! I love the scene where he does the invisible halo above his head, the scraching of his neck and also the the gun flick. He was that character in the book to me. Thanks Billy.
For me it’s a tie between Billy Burke and Anna Kendrick. EVERY time she was on screen there was an ease about her Jessica and I thought she was hilarious.
Billy Burke is terrific as Charlie.

For me, it’s Charlie. Charlie’s the best character up there, and the closest one to the book, in my opinion. I didn’t really like Anna as much as everyone, but another good character I thought was Mike
