Essentially the version of the trailer that aired on MTV was very similar to what is currently playing in front of Sorority Row in theaters (AKA what leaked all over the Internet earlier this week).
The only slight differences that we noticed are as follows:
-shot of Bella in cafeteria missing Edward
-slightly different narration from Bella about needing danger to see Edward
-added shot of Jacob saying to Bella don’t go stay with me
-extended Volturi encounter of Felix and Demitri saying “The girl comes with us” and Edward replying, “Go to hell”
We give it a hot 10 minutes before someone uploads it to YouTube. Or you can watch what Hollywood crush just provided below!
Fashion wise we thought Kristen’s hair looked fabulous. Way to hide the mullet! Rob and Taylor looked great too.

Oh my!! I loved it! the only thing I’m really a little surprised by the extensive fight scenes in Volterra but I’m so very very excited! All of the cast looked fantastic!

i quite liked the blue tint. gave the movie an overall cold feeling. plus it helped hide the sunny day shots right

I think since edward is a figment of her imagination and the whole thing seems dark and unnatural i think thats why the volvo is black to emphasize the fact that she is imagining him

Kristen looks gorgeous! I honestly thought I couldn’t get anymore excited for new moon, but this trailer proved me wrong.
I saw about 30secs more video, It was a little of a letdown that it was just the other trailer extended. On another not, Kristen looked really cute, I like her hair, much better than the mullet. I know it was for the movie, but it was still hideous.

That trailer was better than the entire Twilight movie. Kristen actually acted in this trailer! The Volturi made it amazing. Especially Dakota as Jane. Yikes. Felix (or was it Dimitri?) fight between him and Rob was spectacular. The wolves look better than ever. This movie is going to explode at the midnight theaters.
Nope you were right it is Felix. I know right, it looks like people just reenacted scenes from the book rather than a movie adaption. I mean with twilight they changed how things happen, and how things are said (I mean really, the lion/ lamb line in Twilight, was so totally random and did not belong in that part at all), New Moon looks like the book come to life. It must be all about the direction.

AMAZING!! November can’t come fast enough. I loved and freaked out while watching it, of course. And it might just be me, but when Bella screams while having a “nightmare” it made me laugh. I know it was suppose to be serious and painful but to me it was just plain funny. I don’t know…I’m just werid I guess. But, this looks, just like the other trailers have for New Moon so much better than Twilight. Can’t wait!

yeah I agree..the scream sounds much more than a miserable girl’s scream…oh well, even in the books, Bella is over-miserable, so i guess they just tried to translate that into film…i wish they wouldn’t put into the movie stuff that don’t translate well on the screen…like in Twilight…gosh, there was an ABUNDANCE in cheesy lines that could have stayed in the book…don’t get me wrong, i love the movie and the book, but still…anyway, trailer is still awesome, there’s more edward and action…love it
Totally agree. That scream isn’t quite right. I think that when they told her that Bella is in pain, Kristen just took it in the wrong direction…Different kind of pain, sweetie.
yeah, the screaming was the only part that i didn’t like…it actually made me cringe ^_^;;
the rest of it was pretty good though. i thought the cliff diving scene was well done, and i liked the volturi scenes.
is it just me, or do they all look like they have more drastic contact lenses now? i like them.
It’s meant to be an extreme scream of pain. I know it sounds a little weird in the trailer, but I think it’ll be PERFECT once we have the build up to it.
they actually delivered on this trailer all the Volutri stuff was amazing but it didnt match with the book from what i saw. love Alice’s wardrobe! She looks fabulous. the hallucinations look a little cheesy to me though but i thought it was awesome
I love love love love it!!! In my opinion its definitely better than twilight its got more CGI i agree with Tatiana the hallucinations were a little cheesy but overall i cannot wait til November my friends and i are going to see it for my friend Shaadie’s Birthday. Chris Weits really knew what he was doing when he directed this, better acting, the Cast, the crew, the Costumes, ect. They have definitely found their element with this movie. Cant wait til’ New Moon, keep rockin’!!

Totally got goosebumps…Bella screaming in bed made it all the more heatbreaking and the scene with edward fighting Felix or was it Demitri?…anyway I think that was a great addition…I was expecting that in the book but it didn’t happen…so now here it is…Chris did an amazing job.Is it November yet?!!!!

I agree with you about KStewarts hair. The black makes her skin look even whiter than usual. It is just NOT her color. The style was better than the nasty mullet, but still not too awesome.

There are already a lot of changes from the book which worries me a little bit, but it still looks amazing, as an actual movie I think it looks much better than the first one. Kristen looks much better without the mullet but her hair looks so much better long.
about how far into the MTV VMAs did they play the trailer?
It was around one hour and 15 to 20 minutes.
I think New Moon was filmed before the “Mullet” took over Kristens head, so we’ll need to wait to see Eclipse before we can say anything about hiding the mullet.

That was amazing!!!!!!!!! Can’t wait for NM!!!!!! Though as a crazy Twilight fan, I was a little confused about the volvo- the color is sooooo obviously darker than silver. I don’t get why they couldn’t keep the first one. Nothing bothers me more than continuity. Anyway- that’s my little rant.

i think they have changed the volvo for her helucinations, remember in the book when Edward comes back, she comments on how her helucinations wernt a patch on the real thing, she didnt remember the details right, so the black volvo could be signifying a lack of correct memeory recall, or it could be because she is in morning for her beloved Edward. Charlie comments to Alice in the kitchen that “it wasnt like someone had left her, it was like someone had died” so the black volvo could be a metaphore for her loss.
we have been assured that when Edward comes back he still has the silver volvo.

Incredible! I am beyond excited now (and I didn’t think it was possible for me to be even more excited about this movie, haha).
I just have to say, for any Carlisle fans out there: Make sure to check out the background in the first few Volturi clips! They’re part of the flashback from when he stayed with them in the 1700′s. They’re all there in full period costume, including him! As a member of Team Carlisle, I couldn’t help enjoying the sneak peak.
Anyway, the trailer was amazing, and it’s official: I can’t wait until November 20th!
Loved it! Kristen looked GREAT at the awards, I was surprised! Her dress was beautiful and she was too. Loved the FULL trailer, I can’t wait for NEW MOON! Chris did a FANTASTIC JOB! I do admit- New Moon looks better then Twilight but only because of the film quality. Everyone says Catherine ruined Twilight-I don’t think she did- there budget was much less, and that’s what I think really did it. Bella looks a lot better in this movie, she actually looks pretty. And rob always looks great!

Everytime I watch the trailer I’m like Go Laurent! He deserves a better exit than he had in the book, and it looks like Edi has done an amazing job with it. He’s fierce! This is so detailed! Carlisle in the background during the first Volturi clip. Victoria dropping out of the trees behinc Charlie. The size of the wolf compered to Bella when Paul loses his temper. Edwards face in the water.
But the volo is BLACK! And it looks lie it is staying black to according to the fotage from the Eclipse set… Not god.
(Just a few more tings and then I promise I will stop ranting.) Why is the robes red and noth black/gray? And who is sitting in the steps infront of the Volturi during the fight in the end? I can’t figure it out and it bugs me… And do you think the voiceover is from the film or for the trailer only?

I could be wrong, but I think the red robes are just what the crowd is wearing at the St. Marcus day festival. The Volturi are still wearing black, but it appears they don’t wear robes in the film, just black outfits. So I guess they grabbed a spare robe from the festival for Edward, since he’s shirtless? I’m not sure, though.
I think the person you’re seeing on the steps is Aro… He’s standing in front of his chair during that part, watching Felix beat up on Edward. (Lol, that’s so like Aro, somehow.) I’m not sure about the voiceover, though. Actually, I was wondering the same thing!

By the voice over I mean Bellas voice. What I was wondering was if they will keep her “explenations” (about the hole in her chest and so on) in the movie or if they are just for the trailer.
Oh, right. Yes they would keep in Bella’s voiceover because it’s the only way you will know how destroyed she is (because she is barely communicating with anyone). Plus they used a voiceover during Twilight (ie “That was the first time I dreamed of Edward Cullen.”)

Kristen looked really hot with that new hair due, WAY better then before at the comic con hair and the trailer looked really cool too.
2 Things – 1) I got most excited when I saw Charlie! Not sure why but i’m happy to see him! 2) Loving the use of music from Twilight in the first half of the trailer for the heartbreak and then the music for the action towards the end. I think this will be a lot better than Twilight, and we all know how much we love that anyway!!
