Behind the Scenes on New Moon

The Florida Sun Sentinel has an article on what it was like behind the scenes on New Moon.
Chris Weitz explained how he made the actors comfortable with his style and the script. “I promised the actors that no matter what, we would have time to discuss every single line,” Weitz explains. “There was a line that he felt was repetitive, and Rob wasn’t feeling where he was in the scene. We worked it out and came up with some alternate dialogue. I can work on the fly a bit because I’m a writer-director, which is helpful. I don’t feel stuck or panicky when an actor is not down with a particular piece of dialogue.”

PLEASE SUMMIT, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT’S GOOD AND HOLY, PLEASE ASK CHRIS WEITZ TO DIRECT BREAKING DAWN AS WELL.
Think about it, Breaking Dawn has a lot of the same themes as New Moon. It’s really dark, a lot of it is Jacob’s story, Edward is in the same dark place, same type of romance and devotion between Bella and Edward, Volturi are back, etc. I absolutely love Chris Weitz’ devotion to this series and we want him back!!!!!!!
Oh, and one more thing…Everybody, leave Rob alone! Poor guy can’t do his job if he’s got screaming tweenies grabbing at him all the time. I feel so bad for him doing ‘Remember Me’ right now. I bet sometimes he regrets taking on the role of Edward. Makes me want to cry for him and what he is forced to put up with.
Rob wasn’t “feeling” where he was in the scene? Alternate dialogue? Well, we all know how that worked out in the first movie, and what Rob thinks is good.
