wow. I would be ecstatic if Chris Columbus did Breaking Dawn. OMFG. Plllllllleeeeeeeease Summit!

  2. ILoveEC says:

I would love it! I’m so glad because he is also doing the Percy Jackson movie!

  3. pinky says:

It would have rocked! I wonder if he’d be interested in BD?

  4. Jo. says:

Urgh, please no for Breaking Dawn. Can we please keep a director for more than one movie?!
I’d rather had some continuality in the methods of the films. It’s already clear that Catherine and Weitz’s techniques will be different and it will be again for Eclipse. I don’t want that to happen again. Besides, is it fair on the crew and cast? Shouldn’t they get used to a director too?

  5. TheInkling says:

ugh! I can’t stand Chris Colombus’s work. He made RENT PG13! Seriously! How do you make a movie about AIDS in the Lower East Side PG13? He’d take all the darkness out of any Twilight movie.

    • Melisa says:

Maybe if you had bothered to listen to the audio commentary you would know the answer to that question. He said he made it PG-13 because AIDS was a deep and serious subject that he wanted teenagers to know about. Making RENT PG-13 made it accessible to widest range of teenagers possible and they didn’t need to go see a movie with a grownup. Plus parents are more willing to let their teens see a PG-13 movie.

    • Melisa says:

He probably saw the crappy version where Bella was a track star, so I don’t blame him for a passing.

  6. Nicole says:

The sorcerers stone and chamber of secrets were the best of the harry potter movies in my opinion, so i think that Twilight would have been AMAZING if he had directed it.

  7. Nicole says:

ooh, they are making the percy jackson novel a movie? that is so cool. I still have to read the last book in the series, but i love them!

  8. JaneV says:

It probably would have been better, I must admit…

  9. sillygirl says:

    It’s moot…

  10. G says:

i would hate it! he destroid harry potter 1 and 2. pleeeease get somebody else!!!

  11. DetroitStyle says:

I think Twilight would have been BRILLIANT if he did do it. The first two HP movies are my fave…especially #2! I would have loved it, I hope he does Eclipse or Breaking Dawn. :)

  12. helena says:

    it would have sucked
    really bad
chris Colombus is a bad director
he absolutly killed hp1 and 2
they were the worst in the bunch
thank god he didn’t get close to twilight
catherine hardwick understood the story and did a great job

  13. twilight + star trek fan says:

think it would have been aweeesssssooomme

  14. Lindsay says:

it would have been AMAZING. HP1 & 2 were the best directed HP movies FOR sure.

  15. twilight is legandary says:

that pic of the dude who play harry potter is ugly

  16. Lisa says:

That is very uncool to say that even if it is true or not true.

  17. Eranin says:

I haven’t really thought about that, but it surely would mean a greater film and maybe higher budget?
About BD I really want it to be split in 2 movies, otherwise it will be massacred in even 3 hours long movie. There are just so much stuff going on..
First and second book one film directed by Chris Weitz AGAIN,I’m so sure that he made a GREAT NM.
Third book another film directed by…who knows!

  18. Salad says:

Ooooh… That would have been terrible.
