Twilight DVD Extras

So now that you have had the DVD for almost 24 hours we want to know what your favorite parts were.
In case you haven’t watched the Director’s commentary (with Catherine, Rob and Kristen) stop whatever you are doing and watch it now!! It is just too funny. Our favorite comment from the commentary was made by Rob during the big reveal scene.

“I thought I was going to get Cam’s six pack super imposed.” or “Never trust a man who waxes his eyebrows”

We’ve checked out all the specials on the Borders exclusive edition.  There is fantastic never before seen red carpet footage and cast interviews from Comic Con.

The vampire kiss montage was weird. I guess the Midnight Sun thing was Edward acting out his thoughts at the end of that montage. Still weird.

  2. San says:

I thought one of the deleted scenes was going to be from Midnight Sun, but after watching them I don’t which it was. I skipped over the director talking before each one. Did she mention which one it was, or did it not get included after all?

  3. ScarletRubie says:

i got the target version. i went super early and there were like 10 people there all there for the same reason i was, it was kinda funny we approacjed at the same time, LOL. I LOVED the commentary i was laughing so hard, rob is so funny, i got red i was laughing so hard, i blush easily though but still i enjoyed it a lot.

  4. San says:

I’ll have to look for stuff from other DVDs on Youtube. I just got the 2 disk edition from Best Buy because I had a gift card for there.

  5. Jessica says:

I loved Carlisle/Esme’s deleted scene. I wish they had kept that.

  6. Aislinn says:

I got the Borders Exclusive DVD set but a friend of my mom’s got the 3 disc set from Target and I watched the third disc. It’s all about the music from the movie and there are things about “becoming Edward/Bella” which was cool. Anyway.. I definitely have to say that watching Rob [as Edward] play the piano in the last thing on that disc was by far my favorite. Ughh.. fabulous!

  7. pinky says:

Still waiting on mine. I preordered from Target. I should be getting it Wed.

  8. Tiffany H. says:

    Rob is hilarious!!

  9. shel says:

I absolutly LOVED the commentary, soo funny!!! ;] That was probably my favorite part of the whole 2-disc set.
I was a little bummed tho because sumwhere I thought I heard that there was a deleted scene where they had bella and edward say “I love you” and it wasnt there. I just wanted to know what scene catherine had put that in.

  10. GenevieveCullen says:

Grrrr… My family is waaayyy behind in technology otherwise I would have gotten the Blu-ray. Sadly we still own VHS players and a $49 Wal-mart DVD player that chokes on a spec dust.

Anything specific I should go find?

  11. Heather says:

I love in the commentary when Rob has to scare the Port Angeles guys and he gets all effeminate! It’s so funny! And he is way obsessed with his plucked eyebrows! I wish they had a 5 disc version! I could watch that stuff all day long!! Ooh, and the deleted scene kisses with Bella’s dream and the one with Victoria and James were HOT HOT HOT!!!

  12. Rosemarie says:

Which commentary are you talking about? From which DVD version?

  13. McFrito says:

im not gonna get mine till about wednesday (pisses me off everytime i think about it cuzz its so far away!)
i cant wait till i get it! i got the target version and like taylor lautner would say “im super stoked!”

  14. Allison says:

I got the two-disc version (boo).

I loved the Carlisle/Esme scene. More of them please!
The vamp baseball was pretty great too :)

  15. Julie M. says:

I’m so glad the Lex put this question on here. The commentary with Catherine, Kristen, and Rob is absolutley my favorite part. They give great little tidbits throughout the whole movie. I just loved it!!! If anyone had any doubts about Kristen and her loyalty to Twilight, they need to listen to this. You can hear in her voice how much fun she had making this movie and how much she does care for it. If fact, you can tell the same from Catherine and Rob. Catherine seems so nice. It was hilarious. If you haven’t watched the movie this way, you really need to.

  16. ScarletRubie says:

i like watching the commentary more than the movie alone, it’s so much fun AND i watched it in spanish, like always not really translated correctly (literally is the word) but it’s cool. I’m not crazy i only watched it in spanish because my mom wanted to watch it that way.

  17. Lacey says:

I bought the Target version. Laughed like crazy at all the people who were in line with just a Twilight DVD – including me. Amazing, hilarity.

I loved the commentary. I personally couldn’t get over Rob, the man is brilliant. I’ll admit I like Kristen a bit more after watching it. Catherine as well. Loved when Rob said(something along the lines of:) “I have such feminine hands, I could never be strong.”

I liked the “Vampire Kiss Montage.” It was interesting. I’m curious if anyone thought Rob was seriously copping a feel on Kristen when he was attacking her? Lol, his hand was WAY up her shirt.

The deleted Esme/Carlisle scene was by far my favorite of everything though. Maybe it’s simply because I have a thing for Dr. Cullen/Peter, but it was amazing. HOT!

  18. Debbie says:

How about the Vampire Kiss Montage from the Target DVD? I almost fell out of my chair!

  19. Cat H. says:

Luckliy, my mom suprised me with the 2-disc-DVD this morning and I was stoked. I just finished watching the commentary and it was great. I was glad Catherine Hardwick point out the parts I most questioned and Khristian was great also. I agree with Julie. You can hear in her voice how much fun she had and how much she cares. It’s refreshing. Rob was of course funny….

(when Bella and Edward in the Woods scene)
Edward-”Then ask the most basic question…what do we eat?”
Then Rob just jumps out with “Cheeseburger”xD!

I died laughing.I loved the deleted and extended scenes. I think when Emmett say’s, “She’s not one of us” deleted scene is the Midnight sun preview?idk but I was disappointed a little with that scene…but I was most shocked…I don’t know if anyone would agree but…Victoria and James being NAUGHTY ON THE TREE! And then Laurent was just standing there!?lmaoo-Priceless-ike Catherine said Bad Vampres really being bad and omg…I fell out my seat watching that one!lol! Great DVD by far!

  20. Mailen says:

I am still waiting on mine!! I pre-ordered from Amazon. It should be here on Monday. I am sooooooo excited!!!

  21. jeanie says:

hahaha my fav part was at the end when robert was saying good bye imitating catherine! ha the way he said it cracked me upp!!

  22. Hilda says:

I waited in line at Borders for their special edition DVD and they ran out! They were selling the 2 disc special edition for $32. I left, drove to walmart and got the same 2 disc special edition for $17.

I wasn’t going to wait for a couple of days for them to get more special edition DVDs at Borders. I wanted it now. Haha!

Where was the scene from Midnight Sun?! And has anyone put up the special edition stuff that the rest of us didn’t get on the 2 disc?

  23. Charli says:

Still waiting… for next month :(

  24. I got the Target version :) This day was WONDERFUL. I loved the 7 part documentary, and I’m really happy it came with an iTunes download so I could put everything on my iPod.

  25. natalia says:

i love the commentary! rob is hilarious!

  26. Cara B. says:

I absolutely died watching the commentary! My mom actually came up to my room to see if I was okay. I couldn’t stop! I love how rob just went on and on about his eyebrows and kristen and rob talking about their expressions. (:
Seriously If you haven’t watched it yet you need to now… I’m watching it again right now. (:

  27. musicbox02 says:

Can someone tell us, what exactly is on the Target 3-disc special that isn’t on the other 2-disc DVDs?

  28. alittlesomething says:

    I got the Target 3 disc set..I <3 it!
Besides the commentary my favorite was “Bella’s Lullaby Remix” Specifically 2:23-2:39..Oh if I could be Kristen!

  29. krystianne says:

i just finished watching the audio commentary from the two disc version and i was like tearing up.. it was totally hilarious… katherine, kristen and robert were so relax and simply cool throughout it…the commentary is a MUST to listen too…

anyways i wish that they had more features in the two disc like bloopers or something… that would’ve been so funny… really i just want MORE!…grrr… i live in canada so we only get like the two disc ones and nothing else… i wish that i can get like the 3 disc special edition.. that would be way cool…

anywhos… the commentary was soo funny i recommend everyone to listen to it…

  30. April says:

The commentary was my favorite part! I loved how it wasn’t boring, dry commentary, like many from other movies ive seen! I laughed so hard and couldnt stop smiling! It kind of let you “see” the other sides of Rob, Kristen and Catherine! Im glad they put that on there!

  31. juicebox says:

You can get the 3 disc special at hmv in canada

  32. Cees says:

The third disc from Target has the following things (from the back cover of the DVD…haven’t watched disc 3 yet):
“Exclusive content includes a revealing conversation with Stephenie Meyer, intimate journeys with Robert Pattinson in “Becoming Edward” and Kristen Stewart in “Becoming Bella” and more on the music from the film, including “Edwart’s Piano Concert” and “Bella’s Lullaby Remix” music video by Catherine Hardwicke and the documentary, “Music: The Heartbeat of Twilight.”

Plus free digital downloads of the movie and special features from iTunes.

  33. Lynn says:

I agree with everyone about the commentary. LOVED IT. Specifically:

-When Rob describes Peter’s entrance and how it was shot sort of like a J Lo video and that Peter should have do the Beyonce biopic (the way he said “biopic” was funny)
-During the baseball scene when Laurent kind of tauntingly laughs, Rob comments “naughty” in the same tone-HILARIOUS!
-They way he continued to bring up his “sculpted eyebrows” to the point I think it annoyed Catherine.
-When Rob sang the line “I don’t see nothing wrong” PRICELESS

I also cracked up on the Vampire Baseball part on Disc 2 when Rob falls and everyone laughs while he flips them the bird-dang funny.

  34. sue says:

Thanx Cees!!! I only got the 2 disc one so i was wondering what was on the third cd from target.

  35. Leah says:

My favorite is the comic con part, because I was there so it was pretty cool.

I also love the audio commentary. So hilarious! Rob: “I have one of those butt chins” XD

And the documentary is really cool, even though we already know most of the info.

  36. FreakinLoon says:

I bought both the Borders Special Edition and the three disc Target version. Though the pics from the Borders set are gorgeous, the one thing annoying is they fall out of the box too easily.

Liking the Target version the best. The third disc, interview with Stephenie was great, even though we’ve heard bits of the story before. Robert playing piano, yeah! And the fact that I can download all onto my computer and transfer to my ipod, just more bang for my buck.

I haven’t watched the commentary yet, but will do so after this post.

Has anyone found any hidden easter eggs? (Do they still do those on DVDs? I never keep track of them.) Because the one thing I really wanted to see were some of the goofs from the cast.

  37. Sherry says:

Oh goodness where do I start. The commentary was hilarious….can you fall in love with Rob anymore…apparently “YES”…LOL. He is soooo hilarious in that commentary. But all three of them together really made it fun to listen to. I’ve watched it 3 times already. I waited at Border’s last night and got their special edition and then stayed up till 7am watching the whole thing….the commentary and all the special features. It was worth it. Then I went to Target when I woke up this afternoon and got their exclusive version. I have to say, I liked the Target exclusives better….but that is probably because it was things I had never seen. All of the Border’s interviews I had already seen on YouTube and they were good but not new. Targets exclusives were incredible. I watched them all twice already too. The conversation with Stephanie was cool. I could listen to her talk about Twilight characters for days, because they are as real to her as they are to me. The Music portion was totally cool since it’s so true how music really sets the tone and the Twilight music was great. Loved loved loved the Becoming Edward…well because it was Rob talking about his take on Edward which I have always found “SPOT ON” I love everything he gets from Edward. I think he did it perfectly. I enjoyed Kristen’s becoming Bella too…I think she has Bella’s character perfectly thought out as well. The Vampire Kiss Montage….sooooooooooo cool. And I too rewound that and was like is he totally copping a feel….LOL. Too funny. That sequence in the movie would have been hilarious, but I can totally see why it didn’t make it. Loved sooooo much Catherine’s remix of Bella’s lullaby that was totally cool and can’t wait to get that on the IPOD so I can just watch it throughout the day when I need a boost :) And then thank you thank you thank you Catherine for adding Edward’s Piano Concert. I actually think that is such a tribute to Rob. I’ve heard them talk about how he had to sit and play for them for like 2 hours and so for her to include that on the DVD was soooo nice and I have to say just endeared me to Rob even more. I realize we don’t know this man from Adam, but I don’t think I’d be disagreed with that this man seems to be an amazing man with much personal depth and character of his own. Which is probably why he was able to bring Edward to life. I’m so glad the Target version lets you download from ITUNEs…I can carry all of this with me now. Yayyyyyy….my fix anywhere, anytime. Thanks to everyone who made Twilight my new obsession…everyone needs something right…so why not this. At least it’s a happy one. Thanks for the site so I have a place to share.

  38. Michelle says:

Does target sell the 3-disc one in stores or do you have to buy it online???

  39. Chloe Cullen says:

My parents got me the 3-disc Target version today. I haven’t had the chance to watch it yet, since I’ve had to work on homework, but I should be able to go watch it soon. I wanted the Border’s exclusive edition, but I’m loving how the Target one came with a digital copy. Twilight on the go ;D. Anyways, can’t wait to watch it! I’m looking forward to watching the Comic-Con part especially, since I was there!

  40. Kennethcullen says:

I got the 2 disk edition and the extended scene of the first time bella had a dream of edward when she pulls him in and they go at it was AMAZING!!!!!

  41. Mailen says:

OMGEEEEEEEEEEE! I LOVE CARLILSE AND ESME’S SCENE!!!! WHY OH WHY DID THEY TAKE THAT OUT?!?!?!?! IT WAS THE BEST SCENE!!!!

    IT WAS SOOOOOOO AMAZING!

  42. switzgal says:

I don’t have my Target DVD yet. I hope they deliver it soon, I leave for Florida on Wed. and wanted the iTunes download to take with me as well as the DVD itself.. LOL!
Otherwise I will have to wait till when I get back which is next Saturday!

  43. JackC says:

okay I loved the deleted and extended scenes. I just can’t get enough, it has been in my dvd player all day. It is like having some wonderful super-power, owning the DVD. I can now rewind the parts I want to see over. I have really been abusing my remote control today!

I got the 2 disk Hot Topic set. Went to their party. Well it wasnt really too exciting, but I did win a gift card in a trivia game, and I got the braclet with the “you don’t know how long I’ve waited for you” quote, which I LOVE! I like my film cell thing I got, but after reading all these posts, I think I may need to go out and get the Target one. Sounds like that one has some really great stuff on it.

Anyways, me and my friend are planning to drive to Nashville, (closest city with a Borders) for the “New Moon” release. That party seemed like a blast.

AAHH can’t wait for New Moon. Having the DVD is just making me want it to be November already!!

  44. Carol says:

I got my Target 3 disc DVD and watched nearly everything on it & I’m downloading my free iTunes Digital Copies of the extras & the movie right now..(I don’t even have an iPod hahaha) oh well. I loved the commentary, the end had me crackin up!!

  45. oxSamm11 says:

I loved the commentary the best, they were all hilarious, especially when rob mentioned zach efron, and when he was imitating himself getting out of the car lol it was great.

  46. JGroIsMyEdward says:

Target 3-Disc version is the best I’ve seen so far…Commentary, especially from Rob is the best.

  47. Twilight Nymph says:

I just loved the Vampire kiss montage, definitely my favorite. As for the commentary, I will see that in a few. Well if no one noticed, there is this part, I can’t remember if it’s on the second or thrid disk from target but any way, did anyone notice when Rob fell and did that flip. Hilarious. Loved it. LMAO Yet, I have to agree what the cast has been saying. Out of all the Vamps, Rob runs the funniest. I saw that baseball prep and almost fell on the floor laughing.

  48. cmp says:

    Edward: “What do we eat?”
    Rob: “Cheeseburgers!”
    That was pretty funny!
And when Rob kept mentioning his eyebrows lol :)

  49. Tara says:

The commentary was so funny! i couldn’t stop laughing. My mom is deaf so she didn’t know what I was laughing at. She looked at me like I was crazy!
I’m pretty sure Rob is obsessed with his eyebrows. lol. He’s just really hilarious overall.
Catherine sounds like such a fun person. I really loved how she always gave us a little information tidbit with each scene.
I’ve always kind of thought Kristen was boring, but this definitely changed my impression of her. they all sound like they would be fun to be around.
I’d already watched the whole movie twice, but watching the commentary just made it even more amazing.

  50. shavei7 says:

the commentary was sooo funny! ‘sculpted eyebrows’! heehee

and it’s great to finally see the scenes of “She’s not one of us” and “I’d rather die than stay away from you”. I’m glad the ‘extended’ sceneds didn’t get included though..they were kinda awkward…especially the part where Edward showed Bella his room and Bella was looking at his journal.
