Is American Idol fixed? And is it all because of Edward Cullen? Well since we aren’t on staff at AI we sure don’t know. However we think we are able to safely say that as talented as Adam Lambert is, he’s not Edward Cullen. According to MSN (which must be staffed by the only people on the planet not to know what Robert Pattinson looks like and/or read Twilight to know what Edward Cullen looks like) “Adam Lambert resembles vampire Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” movie. Girls love Edward (have you seen the “Twilight” themed conversation hearts that say things like BITE ME and I (heart) E.C.?). Thus, Lambert also gets a ton of attention on the show.”

Thank you for officially proclaiming that Adam Lambert is *not* Edward Cullen. I was a bit annoyed when Randy said that after one of Adam’s performances. He obviously needs to read the book first before comparing him to Edward. A one second sultry look into the camera doesn’t make any man on TV Edward.
Oh come on… they’ve got to be kidding! This guy doesn’t look ANYTHING like fictional Edward or Rob Pattinson’s Edward.
This MSNBC reporter must just be looking for a way to tie in to all the Twilight hoopla… knowing that anything with Twilight in the body of the article will get her more hits.

OH MY GOSH! I can’t believe little things get blown up and people just hear what they want to hear. I watched the show and heard what Randy Jackson said, which I think is where this all started from and he never said that Adam looked like Robert Pattison. He was saying that Adam had that kind of vibe, like he is different and would be popular with the girls. Then it was Ryan that said “so you are being compared to a vampire…” Then that is when Adam said he thinks it is cool cause he read the books and loves the series. So, there was never a real comparison, but it got the guy some extra attention. I think it is good. He is very talented and anyone who can turn the most annoying country song into a rock song is great in my book.
i NEVER watche american idol, but i do think that ever since everyone realized that there are still fans like us who are freaking out over the littlest thing about a movie that came out almost 4 m’s ago and another that is coming out in a LONG time… they use twilight to get attention. personally i think it’s PATHETIC!

Well, they’re just comparing his popularity to Edward Cullen’s. Edward is adored by millions of girls, and apparently so is Adam. It’s just a comparison, I don’t think it’s worth getting all worked up about. Now, if someone says literally ADAM LAMBERT IS EDWARD CULLEN BECAUSE HE LOOKS LIKE HIM, then that is something to get all worked up about I suppose. Until then, we can just laugh at the media who think they know who Robert/Edward/Twilight is all about. They make themselves look ridiculous by pretending they know what they’re talking about. And I hope Adam doesn’t get too many angry Twilighter threats or hate. He’s a very humble, modest guy who happens to be attractive, young, talented, AND likes to read Twilight! It’s really not his fault. Poor Adam, being hated by his fellow Twilighters just because someone said he is LIKE the Edward Cullen of a Twilight world as a result from his popularity with the female audience. It’s too bad he’s being blamed. I know I would feel awful if my fellow Twi-hards hated me because of what the media is twisting into cruel lies.
