You can see that the Vancouver weather is just as bad as Portland’s was. They will obviously be filming exteriors to some degree here, or they wouldn’t have bothered to paint the barn to look old, or to put up the ramps and moss.
The area is set back from the public road the camera person is standing on by what looks to be at least 30 yards. That type of distance is often doable for crowd observation assuming the crowd is respectful of the filming process (not noisy, not blocking traffic, staying off private property). It remains to be seen if the road is blocked to local traffic only once filming begins. TY to Maria for the heads up.

Hey you never know…maybe they’ll have the car painted. Remember, the cars are not going to be the same as in the book people. Emmett’s jeep was not silver in the book-it was red. The Blacks did not drive a truck in the book-it was a black sedan of some sort. Edward’s Volvo was not the C30 in the book-it was the S60R. Rosalie’s car was not a Mercedes in the book-it was a BMW. If they’re unable to get the cars they have to substitue with what they can. NOT EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE EXACTLY LIKE THE BOOK.

wow… the detail is great.
They can do a lot with the filming techniques and post production stuff to make the location look and feel almost entirely different from what we are seeing on this video. When we see it on film Im sure it will look really great.
