Why isnt it showing up. where are you supposed to upload your video? no where on the website(twilightthemovie)shows it or talks about it? could it have something to do with our browsers? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Please, PLEASE let more countries enter. I am from Greece and I am REALLY unhappy about this. I could easily go to Italy for filming (I heard they’ll film New Moon in Italy) and I think it’s not Fair.

I have a question! Can someone please help on this?
I read the official rules and there were a couple things that confused me (I don’t get some of the lingo they used!)
#1 — it says that you can’t have any sort of copyrighted material/posters/ect in the background, but it also says you’re allowed to mention copyrighted things related to New Moon… so are you allowed to have like, an image of a twilight poster in the video or something?
#2 — It also says that the video cannot be “altered”… does this mean you can’t edit differnet clips of yourself together into one?

well Amanda, yea you can’t have any material that has been copyrighted, ie. posters, etc.
but being a Twilight saga contest you can only mention characters, books etc about it, pretty much it.
and the video has to be shot in the entirety (sp)

Laura, I assure you it is perfectly possible to meet those requirements in 1 minute. I recently made a film that was less than a minute long and told a full story with a beginning, middle, and end. So a minute should be plenty long to say why you deserve to win.

I am STOKED but super UGH! I can’t send my video in until march 15, because that is when I’ll be 14, and you have to be at least 14!! Oh geez! Crap! Oh well!

I hate this stupid contest. I was so close to being able to enter than it said you must be 14 and poof any chance I had of getting in just blew away. I hate beimg a 12. O well mabey they’ll have one next year for eclipse. Good Luck to anybody that tries out.
I know some of you are disappointed about the age requirement, but I think some of you are too young to realize the reasoning behind it. It’s basically a legality thing. There are certain laws pertaining to working and age requirements. Considering this is work (though no payment for the work) on a major film, it would be very hard to get around the legalities regarding the younger actors. Not to mention, it is easier working with someone older do to more maturity. In the United States, children under fourteen cannot be working, except for certain industries that involve needing children. The TV and film industries would fall under that category; however, there are a lot of requirements for children under fourteen and even children over fourteen have other requirements. It’s just a lot less red tape to avoid having a younger child to start.
Summit Entertainment is an American based film company. It is harder and more work and more money to open up contests internationally, especially for those overseas. It is easier on them again for legal reasons to just open it up to the United States citizens. International contest winners would create more of a hassel due to thinks such as customs, passports, and work visas. If it is unnecessary then why do it?
Just wanted to explain the reasoning behind the contest rules to our younger and/or international readers.

Where do send your contest video? do you mail it or email it?
When the rules say ‘filmed in its entirety’- what does that mean? Does that mean that it has to be one solid stream (no clips compiled together)?

ok seriously! im almost done my video and then i read that it had to be “filmed in its entirety” on this site! does that actually mean that you cant use more than one clip!!!!!
i haven’t found where “filmed in its entirety” is in the rules so i don’t really know the context, but i believe it simply means that the video sent in must be the completed final copy. you can’t send it in in pieces or add anything after you’ve submitted it.
“filmed in its entirety” means no editing things in ur video like shirt colors skin tone background. things like that. just make a video and tell them how much u love all the books and movie and stuff like that
