Looks like we guessed right. MTV has the image that debuted on ET earlier tonight. MTV points out that they have included the words “The Twilight Saga” as part of the titling now.
One minor correction to the MTV story. As long time Twilighters will know, Chris Weitz didn’t dub Stephenie Meyer’s books “The Twilight Saga”. The word “saga” has been part of Twilight since Eclipse. It’s what the name of the official Little Brown site is and how the books have been referenced on the NY Times Best Seller list since 2007.

but id like to say that i was refreshing that MTV Blog page at exactly 10:01, and they dissapointed me. they didnt post it until 10:05-10:10ish
I was pretty disappointed. I don’t really care too much about the title or what it’ll look like. I thought the picture was going to have something to do with some more of the cast that we haven’t heard of yet. Oh well.
And yeah, MTV did take a long time to post it. It was definately after 10 when they put it up.

I waited all night for this? I really couldn’t care less whether Weitz wants capital or lowercase letters for the title… and I thought it was already assumed that the name of the movie would be ‘new moon’. I thought they would post something about the cast.What a letdown!

I like how the words, “New Moon” are bigger and more prominent than “The Twilight Saga.” I was expecting more news also.

I love the logo. I think it’s awesome…I’m not liking MTV much though, they didn’t post the darn thing until like 9:12 central time…! And I thought we were going to get more “exciting” news. Wow. I thought they were going to confirm some of the cast. Well that just sucks. Excited that they are getting started with the movie, I just wish it was something more than a logo. MTV made it sound like something WAY more!

I like the reveal! I wish people would stop crying about wanting something more. It’s in PREPRODUCTION. Why on earth would there be video? Maybe cast news, but then that wouldn’t have fallen under the “art” category. Buuu to the cry babies.

The logo is nice. At first I thought it was abit “halloweenish,” but then I realized that this is about the rise of Jacob, and DUH…we all know that Jacob is everyone’s favourite little sunbeam!
So, it’s nice and warm… BUT, I felt like I had also been had…like, I was played for a fool. LOL…MTV and ET thought they’d be smug and throw us a bone…”Oh, those Twilighter’s, they’ll just lap up anything…” So, I appreciate the little minute details they keep us informed on, but really…was this particular installment worth all the hype? Ok, I’m done. Have a great night! 
I don’t think those who are complaining are complaining about the information they got. I think they’re complaining more about how MTV hyped this whole thing up and all they gave us was something that was already seen on ET…and if this is the case I completely agree with them…It was way too hyped up and the way it was talked about I think they led fans to believe there was going to be more.
I thought it was something big but i guess this will have to do….for now =D

i like the logo and all but personally i don’t think it fits for new moon. the logo’s got really warm tones that are pretty but i think new moon needs something a little darker. not that anything can be done now but that’s just my 2 cents.
What a nice waste of 15 minutes waiting! I thought it was cast news, not the logo. Oh well…
I think it’s great! It ensures that people who don’t know about “The Twilight Saga” will understand that New Moon is the follow up to Twilight. I love the warmth of the color too.. it makes me think of Jacob’s warmth

I love the logo! I agree it was alot of hype over it but I mean us Twilight Saga fans make alot of hype out of everything Twilight *cough*Twilight band-aids*cough*
Also the new title is great since it kinda goes back to it’s roots. Every title from now on will include this I think and remind us that this all started with Twilight.
They reported it wrong, sure “the Twilight saga” appears in the logo, but I’m pretty sure that the title of the movie is still just “New Moon” They put the other stuff to help non-fans understand that its the Twilight sequel. I really doubt the title has been changed to “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.” It’s just a logo, it’s not that big of a deal…
Yea The logo rocks. Im not complaing about anything because like a certain comment somewhere above mine, its just pre production. Mabye Mtv could have been a little less enthusiastic lol.
But it all worked out for the best. The logo is awesome, the colors are great i love the idea of changing colors. Mabye red for eclipse?
I love the contrast between blue and orange since in the first it was all about vampires (blue, cold) and this time the werewolves are kicking in (hot, orange). So I wonder now what Eclipse might be?

I am dissapointed. I think it is just a copy of Twilight. I hate the whole “The Twilight Saga”. But, I am BEYOND excited for this movie. The color looks like Edward’s*fangirl sigh* eyes. I think they will use the colors purple for breaking dawn and red for eclipse. Oh, well. Can’t change nuthing. Only 9 months till the relase of the movie!!! *Fangirl scream*

I like the logo, but new moon, even with it being mostly about Jacob and Bella’s relationship, it’s also about Edward and Bella’s dark time. So, I think it should be a bit more gloomy, if you ask me. But, meh, I’ll wait for the official poster.
I LOVE everything about the logo! I actually do like how they put “The Twilight saga” before new moon. I think it makes it more intense! and i love how they softned the color with a hint of orange but kept it similar to the Twiight logo with a hint of change!

It’s okay, the orangey color seems a like a weird choice for New Moon, but it looks cool I guess.
I can’t wait to see what the posters look like. They obviously can’t look like the Twilight posters, but they can’t be too revealing.
I like it a lot. I think it’s dramatic which fits New Moon well. I knew it wouldn’t be anything more because they haven’t even started shooting the movie yet

Dude. People need to relax. Seriously. It’s preproduction. There is really *nothing* other than cast news yet to tell anyone. And since MTV is going to have months to draw stuff out on a weekly basis for us, they’re not going to put all their eggs in one basket at once. They probably hyped it up because they know we’re suckers for crumbs and get so overly excited at least little bit of news, so I think it’s justified.

What really concerns me is the fact that they apparently don’t understand the different phases of the moon, since there is a crescent moon in the artwork. The reason it is called New Moon is because that is the darkest phase, since the moon is being eclipsed by the Earth and no light is shining on the moon to be reflected back to Earth. Bella is in the darkest time of her life because Edward leaves, and though Jacob gives her relief, the wound doesn’t heal until Edward returns.
I like it, and everyone shoulkdnt be so upset, its only febuary, and filming hasnt started, and the movie doesnt come out until november. I think everyone should chill
I know I have OCD but it drives me CRAZY that the logo contains a WAXING GIBBOUS MOON under the title new moon. A new moon is completely invisible from the earth thus representing Bella’s darkest time.

I wish the first one had more of an epic feel…instead of the indie low budget feel. Is it too late to start over?
