Borders has been working overtime to plan out midnight release parties for the DVD. They came to us for a little help, which of course we gave them, but we have to say their plans (to be unveiled shortly) totally rock. Seriously, we were impressed.
One of the upcoming items you can preorder from Borders either online or at the DVD party is their 18 month Twilight calendar. Borders has confirmed with us that they are the only retailer that will have an 18 month version of a calendar.

Dude, I’ve had the first calendar hung up in my room since about 2 seconds after it came, which was back in what, like, August? July? I don’t remember exactly.

heh, I will probably get it. I got the Border’s one late, and luckily one of the border’s here on the island still had….so made my bf grab it for me hahaha…and I think this was back in december or january?

I think it’s stupid to come out with another calendar this early. New Moon filming will start soon and then there’ll be loads of new pictures to take for the 2010 calendar! if they can do it for harry potter (movie released in november, and a calendar for the next year), then they can do it for twilight. Just watch, by fall, someone’s gonna make a brand new calendar with all the New Moon pics
by the way, i had lengthy conversations with 2 borders stores around my area in SF, and they don’t do pre-orders in store BUT they’re making an exception for the DVD. but if you pre-ordered online and chose to ship it out to store, you can’t take a DVD that will arrive in store day of release, cause those DVDs are for people who call in to the store to reserve a copy. if you pre-order online, it’ll be shipped from the warehouse to the store you chose on the day of release, meaning your DVD will come a few days after march 21st. as for me, i chose to forgo the online pre-order and just called in to reserve 1 copy. i don’t know if it’s the same for everyone, but my store is only getting 90 copies of the *borders exclusive* dvd for the midnight party.
