Why would they even think about replacing Solomon?
He is perfect. He BETTER be in N.M.
Don’t hate me but I actually hope they replace Solomon hes nothing how I imagined him in the books. Sam is suppost to be bigger then all the other werewolf guys and in Twilight he is already a werewolf (even though we didnt know he was till New Moon) and yet in the movie Solomon is shorter than the guy that played Embry (which I like him). Hes really the only actor that wasnt even close to matching my thought of how there character would look.
He’s not what I imagined originally either, but he was so amazingly dedicated in the TL interviews – “Honey Rose” anyone?
And, it seems he still is, as apparently he’s gained 17lbs of muscle and cut his hair to try and keep the role!
I can really see him as Quil, playing on the beach with Claire in Eclipse – I’d just be so sad if he was shafted for some “money making” name

I hope that they keep Solomon. I’m really sick and tired of all the maybe swapping of actors. It’s like they’re trying to make up for all that Twilight did wrong. It would have been nice if they had gotten it all right the first time.
I think Solomon and Krys (Embry) both deserve to get a shot in New Moon. Twilight has enough star power to keep it going–let’s give some real deal people a chance to live their dreams!
I really hope that they keep Soloman too. In all the Lexicon interviews I’ve seen with Soloman, it seems like he’s really dedicated to the character and that he wants so connect with Sam Uley. (For example, the poems that he wrote himself but are in Sam’s perspective.) Even though, the guy that plays Embry hasn’t shown the same kind of dedication that Soloman has shown, I’d like for him to stay too because, come on, he’s just adorable. If they keep him, then I guarantee that there will eventually be a “Team Embry.”
I hope they keep both Solomon and Krys. That would be stupid to look for 2 more NA if they already have 2. They need to concentrate on filling roles that aren’t filled.. like Quil, Paul, Jared, Seth, Emily, Leah and the Volturi!!
I definitely hope they keep Solomon around as Sam, and I’m still sort of surprised by how many people complain that he’s not how they pictured Sam while they wholeheartedly approve of Krys as Embry. Sam and Embry aren’t described very thoroughly in the books and Krys doesn’t fit the description of Embry anymore than Solomon fits the description of Sam. I love both guys and hope they keep their roles, but I’m not too hung up on how closely the werewolves match their brief descriptions. :p

Solomon wasn’t very good. For a start, he was REALLY short. He was also really goofy looking, not like in the book ‘a calm mask’. I think that the guy who played Embry was prettttty good

I like Solomon Trimble as Sam. He’s not huge, like Sam is supposed to be, but he does have that calm aspect and Sam attitude. Plus, he’s really researched to part. I’d like to see both of the wolf pack boys in there. Let’s keep some continuity!
i like soloman as sam, and am surprised there is a group rooting for him to be in the second movie, because i totally thought he already would be. i hope this director doesnt go around changing all the actors, cause that would be crappy.
I don’t know what you people are talking about. I have seen Solomon in person and he is not short. He has also buffed up recently and I think that he makes an awesome Sam. It would be a shame to bring someone in who wasn’t even featured in the first film.
I heartily agree with the majority! I didn’t even know the role of Sam was in question. It would be really foolish to recast characters, especially one as potentially important as Sam, at this late date! After all, don’t they start filming in late MARCH?!! That’s way late for a cast change, I would think.
Come on Mr. Weitz, and Summit, you guys have to get this right! If Solomon was serious enough about this part to CUT HIS HAIR, that’s DAMN serious. Native Americans (many, if not most) ONLY cut their hair when they are mourning family members!

Man, I love Jackson–nothin’ hotter than a guy in cowboy boots and a fedora! Also, I’m not going to see New Moon if Solomon doesn’t get to reprise the role of Sam.
