I like Dakota Fanning as Jane, she’ll be good, but Vanessa Hudgens would ruin it. I’d want someone like Geniveve Cortese from Wildfire and Supernatural. She’s a really good actress and she look the part. For Emily I’d want Alexis Bledel she’s perfect because she is so nice and gentle. I think AnnaLynne McCord as Heidi would be perfect, but she’s such a good actress that she deserves a bigger role.

To all of you 13/14 year olds, I don’t think you “truly” understand the meaning of TRUE LOVE. You may “love” your boyfriend or your family, but the love in the story is deeper, more of a need, not a want.
Also about Vannessa Hudgens and Lucas Grabiel, some say that they are good actors and would be able to play the roles. I agree that technically they might have the “ability” to play these roles, but the only thing I would be thinking when I’m watching New Moon is, “When are they going to break into song and dance?”
Finally, Dakota Fanning. In the book it describes Jane as “childish” not a child. Alice was also described this way, did they cast an eleven year old for her part? No. I’m very disappointed in the choice of some of the actors/actresses signed for this movie.
One thing I’m not disappointed in is the fact that Taylor Lautner will still be playing Jacob. Jacob changed immensely over the course of the book, but not so much that he literally became a different person. Taylor has done a tremendous job in creating that difference so far by gaining over 20 pounds in muscle.
We can only hope for the best with this movie.
you know how like everybody is saying vanessa hudgens is gonna get the part for Lea. well i hope that that’s not the case or i will be so dissapointed. i just don’t think it would be right for disney stars to be in a movie like twilight. and anyway, isn’t Lea supposed to be a b*tch. and vanessa is so not mean she is anything but mean. she was in high school musical for crying out loud so really people if you have sense you won’t pick HER of all people.
uhmm yeah i think dakota fanning would pretty good as jane..but if there are any disney charecters in twilight i WILL scream..i think that there really shouldnt even be well knowns actors in the movies..like i think they should find really good actors that no one knows about..so no one will know who they are..and they will fit the characters better..like if it was a well known actor or actress in the movie you would keep thinking of them in another roll they played in another movie and not a character in new moon or any other twilight books. i rest my case

You know that really bothers me that they look for Native Americans in the south when the setting is in the northwest…no offense but the natives from southern states are extremely different…not that this matters at this point…I just had to get that opinion out there

Some of these comments arent based from a childs perspective, so they need to be
1. Jasper has a key role, maybe not in this film but in Eclipse he is NEEDED
2. Jane would well be played by actress Dakota Fanning. Though she is still a child herself, Jane is supposed to look very unthreatening to the eye, but with a deadly smile which i beleive she can pull off.
3. To understand the passion and love in this story is easily possible by a 14 year old if she knows what it all means. Age has nothing to do with it it just means u have to deeply think about the book in a not-average love story way.
4. As is said Vanessa Hudgens would be a VERY bad role. Shes the pretty girl that sings and dances though everone wants her to shut up already, not the deadly and vicious vampire Jane.
5. The are rumours surrounding Brenda song to be cast as or have tried for Leah. INCORRECT! It is just a rumour, the manuscript has not got given Leah a role (wierd as she will be key in the 3rd and 4th film)
6. The “Meadow” in twilight was quite offputting.. It was not a meadow it was a slight glint of sunlight coming down from the treetops. This is weird as t poses a great disunderstanding to New Moon. Bella’s run in with Laurent will be quite confusing if it is in such a small area full of uneven trees, as will Jacob’s and her search for it.
7. The cast for New Moon can be found at imdb.com then search New Moon. It should be obvious which movie is the one.
8. Taylor Lautner is the worst thing this movie could conjure up. The story is supposed to be her undying love for edward which blossums into a double with Jacob. All the movie only fans will figure out is that Taylor has big muscles and is “hot” so obviously she should pick him… This is NOT the story at all!
9. I dont think Sam’s character from Twilight also will do very well. He is supposed to look EXTREMELY loving and sorrow stricken towards Emily and caring all the time. With his face he looks more grim and scary ALL the time and im wondering wheather he can pull it off or not.
10. Edward dissapears for most of the story but i beleive if the director stays true to the story then he will probably pop up every now in then, maybe a scene showing her nightmare? His voice and his figure in the water?

I love twilight, new moon, eclipse, breaking dawn. and i love the film as well, i cant wait til November when New moon is realised in the UK.
and i think it is very unfair that there having an open casting thing in America, i’d love to be in the film, why cant they come to the UK and select a couple people, and dont say it’s cuz it’s an American film, because Robert Pattison (Edward Cullen) is very much english !

I have read the whole saga of Stephanie M. books and I can honestly say that it was worth reading. The movie was good but relatively not comparible to whats in the book. I know that it is very hard to cramp in a 600..page book to a 2 hr movie… but I just wish..they kept Bella’s character as it is in the book. In the book, I pictured Bella’s character as more feminine, and more affectionate towards Edward. In the movie, it seemed to be very awkward…i felt like she was too uptight and “boy-ish”. In the book they have mentioned how “they love each other numerous times and never held back in the kissing part …” But in the movie..i never heard them once saying I love you. I just hope in the second movie they wont miss showing the intense relationship they have for each other..strong emotions or happy moments(in the book) that needed to be shown.
