Movie News

It looks like if you are going to eventually want to watch Twilight on TV you better get Showtime, at least for its initial release to the networks. So if you don’t have Showtime, you might want to see it in the theater again, or entice someone to go with you by giving them a Fandango Twilight gift card.

Australia is prepping for the movie’s release.

Jackson Rathbone talks with MTV about his upcoming project. MTV also speculates on Twilight as a comic.

  1. Yay!

  2. of twilight were to turn comic, then plz plz plz hire good artists!! I’m picky when it comes to comic book art. I guess because I’ve been spoiled by manga. Ifit looks like the pictures from the japanese novel would be great

I agree. I think it would be cool to have a Twilight Manga. HA my husband would seriously go nuts over that – he’s a huge manga fan and loved the Twilight Saga too. I’ve read Vampire Knight manga, which currently would be the closest thing (sort of) to Twilight as a manga, and it’s pretty good, even lacking the humor. The anime based on the manga is a new favorite of mine.

  5. IWANT TO WRITE A COMIC ABOUT IITTT D8

srsly… I would love to draw for a manga version of Twilight…

  6. actually i watched twilight online the day after it came out.. its on watch-movies.net or movie6.net either orrr =]

  7. I’ve been a longtime fan of mangas, graphic novels, and comics… but really, “Twilight” doesn’t lend itself to becoming a graphic novel.

I mean, look at the interpretation that has been done with the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. The books are interesting and multi-faceted. The comic books are… fairly blah.

Unfortunately, with comics/mangas/graphic novels, the basic storyline has to be pared down even more than in a movie. The fans are already whining over how much of “Twilight” was cut for “Twilight the Movie.” Imagine how much worse it would be with “Twilight the Graphic Novel.”

I say no to the idea of putting “Twilight” into comic book form. I enjoy the novel, and my highly active imagination draws enough pretty pictures for me – pictures that fit MY imaginary “Twilight” cast. I don’t need someone else telling me what these characters look like – already had that done by one group of people, and while I loved their interpretation, I still think mine was better. :)

  8. I’m actually making a twilight-comic as a school project. But it’s just for fun,and really short :)
Anyways, I would buy it if it was made, like by good artists and stuff :) that would be so much fun, to see the characters, and not just imagine them :)

  9. they cankt make twilight into a graphic novel. thats just not right. i mean theykd have to cut down even more than the movie did. guys, thats just too much. thats all

  10. Wait im confused. so is the movie being aired on tv? is that some time soon, or not for awhile?

  11. oh dear god
no no no no no no no no no comics or manga! Apart from me just hating comic books in general, how would that even work if all of Twilight’s internal soliloquies and monologues??

    Absolutely not.

  12. youtube PLEASE!!!

  13. a manga version of twilight – in my opinion- would be so cool. but im a hhuge manga geek so im kindof bias :)
