Video and Audio Bonanza

So here’s the best of what Twilight related video and audio has to offer. Basically right now there are a ton of media outlets providing Twilight info. We’re trying to separate out what you’ve heard a million times ( I think we can all recite Stephenie’s "How Twilight Chapter 13 came to me in a dream" story right along with her at this point.) and the new tidbits we all want. So with no further ado…

Reelz Channel interviews Edi Gathegi. in their latest Twilight coverage.

EW snags a few moments with Rob, who is wearing his signature beret again. Also don’t miss part 4 of EW’s interview with Rob.

Collider has the audio of the interview that they did with Stephenie the other day. If you want to save the file just right click on the link in the Collider article and select "Save Target As" and you can save it, IPOD it, whatever.

Things went much smoother at the Seattle area signing featuring Edi, Rachelle, and Taylor. We hope to have a fan report later.  Taylor, Edi, and Rachelle are in Denver tonight.

Rob moved on to Dallas today. No one got hurt, but we are hearing mixed reports on organization.

MUCH MORE organized. They must have heard what had happened in San Francisco and prepared themselves. There were a LOT of securities and employees making sure everyone was in line and what not. Everything ran smoothly as far as I can see. Great job Seattle!!!!

My mom sister and I went to Dallas yesterday to see Robert Pattinson. We were waiting across the street in the underpass (since we werent aloud on mall property until 5:30 am), in the line at 10 pm when there were only like 15 people. Eventually more people came and the line grew longer. This was when the problems began. For some strange reason the police told the people in the back they could push themselves up to the front. They said it was for safety reasons, but when they pushed people in the front were forced into the busy street. Safety? So then some people decide that even though we have been waiting, they should form a new line at the other side of the underpass. The police wouldnt do anything about it, but whatever. Then it started pouring, which would have been okay when we were under cover, but no, because of the pushing, we were all out in the storm with lightning and thunder and everything. So we all huddled under eachothers umbrellas, even though I still got drenched. The worst thing of the night was the hotel. The Dallas Galleria is connected to a hotel where people were waiting to see Rob. The police told us that at 5:30 we would all be escorted by an officer to the door and each group would get there at the same time. They also said that if anyone passed the officer, they would get arrested. So 5:30 finally comes and we are waiting for the officer to take us. While we are being held back though, we see the people at the hotel running to the door. Everyone starts yelling and then, despite the officers warnings, running to the door. When we reached it there was already a huge shoving mob of people. After about 15 minutes of waiting, they announced that the tickets were sold out.

The worst part was that no one in my group got ticket. Not the ones like me who waited 7 hours in in the rain. Not the people who were first in line. And not the girl next to me who drove 11 hours in the terrible weather from El Paso. This event was completely unorganized and the police were not prepared even after seeing what happened at San Francisco. It makes me so mad at Summit and the Dallas police for not handling it better.

So I guess thats enough ranting for now. Im still utterly PISSED, but there is nothing any of us can do. I think I’m gonna write hate mail for the next year.

I have about the same account as tabcullen. I too was “under the underpass” I drove 2 hrs which is no big deal. Waited in an abandoned parking lot from 12-4:30. Got in the line, and it actually looked like I would be one of the first 250. but then a few minutes before 5:30 you could see a brand new line across the street on mall property. running to the front door. it was heartbreaking.

  4. O-M-E!!! says:

  8. Misty says:

Well, I have to say that it wasn’t quite as organized in Dallas as I had hoped. I can say though for the sake of the “mall” people, as I was one of them, that we weren’t allowed early to go to the mall, they were just escorting us out of the hotel and we certainly were not running as we were told that if we did we would be physically removed. It was quite frightening, however, to see the thousands of people come running across the street towards us. Many, many people who stayed at the hotel did not get in. In fact, the friend who was right next to me when we left the hotel, but eventually got seperated from me when the crowds meshed, also did not get in. I did get in, but just barely and I was standing in line with people who had parked in the garage, been dropped off and even had waited out all night. I think everyone was equally dedicated to get a chance to see Rob in person and I hate that everyone didn’t get to see him. I will say for the Q&A that there really wasn’t any “Q&A”. But, we did get to see Rob on stage for a good 15 minutes or so. Also, the HotTopic staff at the Galleria are absolutely awesome. Very professional, organized, friendly, helpful, all of the above. Kudos HotTopic Dallas Galleria!!!
