Yeah, Russel Brand was funny… but interrupted Robert… and when he did… was i the only one to notice how Kristin, Taylor, Cam, and Robert all turned to look at him like WTF? And the nthe cut to paramore was wierd and not like the other cuts to different things.

I agree, that guy was just a bit obnoxious, and then he cut Robert off. I yelled at the television for a moment….I wish they all got to talk more, I would have survived without seeing the paramore girl grabbing herself like a guy haha.

And even though Im not a huge Taylor fan it was sweet seeing him help Kristen down the stairs.. (Even though it would have been priceless to see Rob do it..)

I was pretty upset too! All that waiting to see them & then the host & the singer take over Rob’s big moment! A huge disappointment! That host was just irritating! Taylor had a bigger part for the show & he is hardly in this movie at all! His time to shine is in the next movie!!!
I’m sorry but I’m a little sick of all the Jacob/Taylor crap! Maybe I read a different book, but there is no Jacob/Bella anything in Twilight, a scene at the beach where he tells her the story, a couple scenes at the house, and prom. Jacob can’t wait! MTV totally messed up with these guys last night, it should’ve been Kristen, Rob & Cam…and Russell Brand is a moron! Rob gave him props during the pre-show and this is how he paid him back!

I have to admit that it was kind of dull. I have no idea who Russel Brand is – I’ve never heard of him – but he was getting on my nerves, so I was pretty ticked when he interrupted Rob. I mean, let the guy speak for jinkies’ sakes! >_<
Still, it was great to see some of the cast – albeit for about twenty seconds. Then I was like ‘That’s it?’

That was soo cool of Cam to make sure that we could see Rob. That Russel guy wasnt even funny and he is so rude! Noone cares what he had to say. Hopefully nest year the VMAs will get someone better for his job. I cant wait for the movie!!!
I say it this morning on youtube…. I have to say…. it was a bit embarrassing all the way around….
They spent more time filming the cast walk out then they actually allowed them to have any voice time. When they finally got voice time… it was as if it was a rehearsal…. because Russell was just playing around. They didn’t even plan a spot for the cast to stop so that four people could stand next to one another without being on top of each other. Very kind of Cam to make sure that Rob wasn’t stuck in the back. The best part was noticing that guys are probably really lovely in their real lives… ladies first and all. Rob looks shy and reserved and maybe a bit out of his element and that is very endearing. MTV should have planned that better after all, they are the whole reason for Twilight Tuesdays!

I AM PISSED! I watched the pre-show to see them. NOTHING. I waited through the boring hour to see them and that ass whatever his name was cut off Rpattz. With that luck, I didn’t even bother wasting my time with post-show. I figure it’ll show up online if something dazzling happens. What pissed me off the most was how VMA was using twilight cast to promote and thats why I tuned in. I don’t usually watch TV. BUT I DID.

In support of my two teenage daughters, this mom sat through the greater portion of the VMA ceremonies. All three of us were in agreement. . . Russell “however-you-want- to-spell-his-last-name” was a complete and utter waste of money and time. His comments were inappropriate for any public location, and so biased against not only American politics but our entire entertainment industry it is no wonder the only thing he could do to bring him full attention was to chat us up with his diatribe about onstage masterbation— which obviously carried the night with other performers as well. As far as the Twilight cast, Robert Pattinson, you were the redeeming factor for the Brits last night, too bad we didn’t get to hear your lines. Let’s hope that next year the VMA’s class up their act. This year was utterly horrible from pre-show shtick to the bashing of their own guests. And Jordan honey, wear that promise ring with pride, you rock.

I, too was disappointed to not hear Robert speak, but it might of been a timing issue. It seemed that Robert was really nervous (I would be too!) and he tried 3 times to say his part but then Russell Brand had to hurry it up befor Paramour came on. That’s the host’s job is to make sure the timing is right on a live show.

Yes it is the Hosts job i guess to make sure the timing was right.BUT He didnt need to hurry it up. ROB had ALREADY started the Introduction for Paramour AND THEN Russel Interupted him.I dont really think that he saved all that much more time.Wasted it more if you ask me.
I agree with Oh my Edward! There was NOT a time issue there. Plus Cam was talking to Russel once Cam finished his part then distracted poor Rob and then took over with explaining himself about what he and Cam started talking about. I did like how like Kristen, Taylor, Cam, and Rob turned and looked at him like WTF though. When I was watching the whole bit towards the end I wanted to kill Russel! He’s funny, but I still want to kill him.
I just think that MTV shouldn’t have made such a huge deal about the twilight cast if they knew they would just be stuck in an isle. I was dissapointed but Props to Larry he handled the blog well
Yeah I was pretty disappointed when Russel cut Rob off, too. I think I was angrier than he was – Rob was just kinda smirking about it and I was like “NO!” lol. But on the upside – I didn’t know Cam was gonna be there, so I was happy to see him. And on the VERY upside – Rob looked delicious!! I really hope Twilight will give him the popularity to do more of that kinda stuff (even though I think it’s inevitable – he’s already skyrocketing!) Taylor, too – he’s so like Jacob, he makes me smile every time I see him!

It was shocking, the whole thing was cheap and nasty. Too good for people with class like the twilight crew.
I’m thankful that I waited to catch it on UTube, that’s for sure. But I don’t like much of today’s music anyways (if the stones had performed I would have been all about it). So the host was “bloody” rude, and I think those pants cut off the circulation to vital parts…like his brain. Notice the “Jacob” actor shoved his way right up next to the “Bella” actress, he’s probably getting a jump on practicing for Eclipse.
