Film.com has an article on rabid fanbases. They mention various groups from the Trekkies, to "Ringers", AKA Lord of the Rings/Tolkein fans, to yes, you guessed it, Twilight Fans. Thanks to Stephanie for the heads up.
Mike Welch is going to be doing one of the scariest things an actor can do, no we don’t mean facing rabid Twilight fans. He is going to be doing live theater, no calling cut, no redoing a scene; it can be scary. You can read all about his upcoming role here and Mike’s Blog here.

I love that Mike is doing theatre! It is very scary thing to do, but once you get on the stage infront of all the people, its the biggest rush you will ever get! Go Mike!

It looks like the next Harry Potter film won’t have Twilight as direct competition. The release of HP was just pushed out to next summer!

HAHAHAHAH!! I just read that too on Yahoo!! that’s so funny! I bet they are scared! and they blame the economy and the writers strike yeah right! Twilight is gonna do so much better than HP!

Actually… no offense but a lot of twilight fans scare the living daylights out of me…
I mean their reaction to Rob was really really immature. And also, was it not twilight “fans” that hacked this awesome site because they couldn’t voice their bashings and trashings?
I’ve seen some pretty horrible Anime Fangirls, but Twilight Fans, really take the cake here with it comes to being “rabid.”
Of course, that doesn’t include ALL the fans, just a minority that is REALLY REALLY Loud.
OH, and I’m totally a LOTR fan before Twilight XD… so I’m glad to see that’s doing better than other movies out there haha.

Of COURSE Twilight fangirls are the most rabid of all fangirls. EVER!!! lol
And, we’ll have to agree with the other Twilighters that say that we scream for Rob AND Cam.
We just think that we scream the loudest for Robert. Because, you know, he’s EDWARD!!! And he’s HOT!!!
i laughed so hard when i read the stuff about us twilighters. run and don’t look back indead. we are not that bad ~she says as she goes back to stroking her copy of twilight~ i mean it is not as if we are all in love with Edward and/or Jacob….. no of course not……
