Independent.ie – Irish Independent New site has an article about a list of books that make for good summer reads for all ages.
In other international news, The Host has has hit Eason’s (The Irish version of Borders) recommends’ category. Also The Host has earned a place on Kiss’ top 10 sizzling reads for the summer. Kiss is Irelands only Teen Magazine.
Raven Books has listed The Host in is Best Selling Indie Fiction list for the week of June 26th. A big thank you to Epona for the heads up.
The Beaumont Enterprise.com has another list of good summer reads.
The New York Daily News has a list of 11 hot spots for find summer love in New York city this summer. Guess which highly anticipated book signing comes in at #3…yup that’s right. The Breaking Dawn Concert Series.

Go Steph!!
I’m going to the book signing in NYC lmaoo. I hope I can find me an Edward Cullen!
it’s so awesome to see stephenie’s talents being recognized beyond twilight. she’s got some real longevity in her!
woooo!!!! I get the Beaumont Enterprise because I live in Beaumont!!!!! yay!
once again people say the talking in twilight is only enjoyed by female readers- guys like it too, they just don’t admit it!!
ughghghgh I wanna got to the signing! why do tickets have to be like 100000 dollars on ebay!!!???
Whoah, Dazzled!? They’re ten thousand dollars! I knew they were expensive, but wow….
Hey ya’ll! in the article about the 11 summer love hotspots in new york, there’s a weird typo- they call breaking dawn “breaking down”. wateva, but i just thought i should say something!
Aw you mention Irish papers and stores, thank you!!
Irish Independent and Eason’s on the front page of the Lex – good day!
Aw, yay! Irish mentions! Now all we need is a release party….
The new york daily news thinks the book is called Breaking Down. Someone needs a fact checker… (-;
hey…im irish!
i am beggging for a release party over here! ive asked every easons in the country!
anyway im liking the irish mention xD kiss is awesome
The Host was in the Easons recommended section the day it came out weeks ago. At least it was in Galway. I was stoked
Yeah, the day it hit shelves in Dublin it was immediately in the recommended section!
And about an Irish release party- Borders is probably the best bet, but even then it’s unlikely…. Everywhere I’ve asked, the staff are like ”Stephenie who?”
Yay!! you mentioned Irish shops.
Lets hope, wish and pray that they might have a release party here. We shud get a group of us together
Tina:
haha, i was exagerating just a tidbit in my hissy fit up there, the tickets are only like 200 or something, but it might as well be 1000 to me!
Did anyone notice that on that Daily News article about romance in New York that they called the book “Breaking Down” instead of “Breaking Dawn”?
That’s just a little irritating.
I wanted to post a comment about it but I didn’t feel like registering.
Ugh my email is being really stupid so instead of sending this to the admin’s i’m posting it on here… sorry! Borders, amazon, and barnes and noble.com list breaking dawn at 768 pages. Holy Crow! (hah.) Thats awesome. It’s so long which is great. It could still be unconfirmed… which would explain why it’s not on here yet.. but i doubt that. Anyway, i found this information on a different twilight site (which is not cool… because the lexicon is my favorite. I’d rather get news here.)
I have to say we don’t have confirmation on that page count, but I’ll attempt to verify. I’m not saying that those stats are incorrect, but often times those page counts are early estimates. I don’t know if I’ll get a definitive answer. I think it would be easier to get pass codes to the Pentagon that to get info on Breaking Dawn! :p
Pel
Breaking down. hahahahahhahahahaha. sorry. at first i was mad. But then i saw that they spell Stephenie Meyers name right so i figured they equaled each other out. lol.
32!!!!
“Breaking Down” …I CANNOT stop laughing.
WOO HOO! AWESOMENESS!
Mahahaha, Breaking Down. XD
YAY! GO IRISH!
Hmmm… Eason’s is the Irish Borders? Anyone up for a petition for a midnight opening???

lmao

Orla
Irish here too; if you start that petition, let me know! We could try Dubray books (where the Dublin signing was) for some kind of release thing…?
Although, if Eason’s really is the equivalent of Border’s….
Kiss Magazine reviewed Twilight a couple of months ago too, and got EVERY DETAIL wrong! A friend of mine wrote an angry letter…
Yay Ireland!!!
I’m from Ireland and it really sucks..
No release parties, no big excitement and the release dates for the book and the movie are gonna be later here
I’ve asked at a book store in Galway for a release party and they said maybe!!
RHINO, IF U ARE LOOKING FOR A PAGE COUNT OF BREAKING DAWN, STEPHENIE MEYER GIVES A PAGE COUNT ON ALL OF HER BOOKS ON HER MYSPACE!
I told NY Daily News about their error in the comments. Hopefully they’ll fix it!
RUTTTTHHIIIIEEEE!
Vair weird meeting you here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who says we need permission to have an Easons party? Us Irish are excellent at spontaneous ceilis. Let’s just pick an Easons at random, and have every Twilight fan in Ireland ambush it. I’ll bring the hurley. Anyone got TNT?
YAY!!!!
Ireland was mentioned …twice!!!
but the host was on the reccomendation list in Dublin the second day it came out…
any one up for midnight relese party…hmmmmm
Hoxox
well if a release party is to be organised i’d say dubray would be best bet, it did host the SM signing so they would actually know what they’re at!
waterstones in england isn’t having release parties for breaking dawn, sooo im gonna check borders

no new twilight news ALL DAY??? sadness!!
Wahey. Irish Newspaper and shop’s on the front page.
Easons may have a release party. They did that (sort of) with Deathly Hallows last summer.
I’d say the biggest one would be in Dundrum, Dublin.
Pity I’ll be in Irish college. :[
