Records from the road (The Host Tour: Part II)
Current mood: refreshed
Best T-shirts/costumes: Salt Lake City
Smoothest event: Denver (So is the superpower of the Denver-ites super-efficiency? Or is it super-politeness? Or do they have some kind of control over the space-time continuum? More research is required.)
Most familiar faces + most movie stars in attendance: Portland
Most boy fans: Los Angeles (37—and we only counted actually readers this time, though there were many supportive dads, brothers, uncles, husbands, and boyfriends in attendance.)
Loudest: definitely San Diego. (They also came in very close in the boy-fan and the familiar faces categories. It was a good place to wrap up my last big tour.)
Edit: Stephenie remarks on her meeting Solomon Trimble (Sam) for the first time:
"It was pretty amazing. I looked up and did a double take. "Aren’t you…Sam?" I asked. Solomon laughed and agreed that he was. He had a couple of technical werewolf questions for me (ex. "Can werewolves phase underwater?" Answer: Yes) and I tried to control my enthusing. Solomon was super friendly and interesting, and though he looks awesome on film, he’s even more incredible in person. His features are just so stunning!"

I see Solomon all the time at my school! I’m SO shy I can’t say hi!
I sat at the table next to him in a Chipotle restaurant, passed by him on the sidewalk- he was gonna go work out! and then he was behind me on the sidewalk the whole time i didn’t know! ARghhfhslfjljsf i can’t seem to even say “hi, you play sam right? I can’t to see you in the movie!”

I’m pleased about the Denver thing–it was pretty smooth for us (even sitting out in 80 degree weather for three and a half hours) and I hope it was smoother for Stephenie. We do have superpowers! Maybe it’s the high altitude…
Yea Denver! I was at her signing in Denver, and yes it was very smooth. I agree with evermore, I think it is the high altitude; Stephenie was just confused by the lack of oxygen, and thought it went smoothly.
