MTV has come through with another Twilight Tuesday for us to read and ponder. This one is about the potential for sequels. We need to stress that as of today there is no contract for any of the sequels to be filmed. We will let you know as soon as we hear anything official on that front. A quote from the article states:
It’s been discussed,” producer Greg Mooradian revealed to MTV News recently. “I can’t tell you we’re at that place yet, but it’s definitely been discussed.”
The question at the end that Larry asks us to respond to is:
Would you like to see the sequels filmed at the same time, or would you rather have everyone take a few years off to catch their breath in-between movies?

I think they should shoot them simultaneously because of the point brought up before of well…..vampires don’t age so they need to get those movies out fast.

when they say film simultaneously do they mean they are going to merge the books into one movie becuase that would really suck
and not all the scenes would be there
They should shoot the films back to back, but not merge them – that would be too complicated, and it would mean that we would loose out on the hype of a 3rd film being released separately!! Lol.
And I think that the movie might be released in the UK on December 12th, but some websites don’t even tell you. =[

I think they SHOULD shoot them back to back because like VampGirl said Rob is already getting older (and he’s hot but he doesn’t look 17) I think he’s like 21 already so I don’t think they can afford to wait long.
Also it will take a while to film New Moon because Taylor (not being 18) won’t be able to work as long as the other actors and New Moon is basically ALL Jacob and Bella. And wouldn’t it be great to have a Twilight movie come out each year for 4 years!
I DIDN’T EVEN REALIZE THEY WOULD MAKE A MOVIE OF BREAKING DAWN BUT IF THEY’RE MAKING THE OTHER 3 IT MAKES SENSE! YAY!
Obviously the actors would be EXHAUSTED! kudos to them for working this hard already and EXTRA for if they sign on to do NM. Eclipse, and BD. simultaneously!
I think they should definitely start on the sequels right away!
Not just because of the long breaks we would have to wait through, but also because the actors and actresses aren’t going to look the same forever.

It would be nice if they shot them back to back, but then would they save videos and interviews with the cast for all three years? It wouldn’t be fun if there was no news because the movies were all done. In the article about Carlisle’s car it says that Jasper drives Bella in Carlisle’s car. I thought they were in Emmett’s car. Were they talking about driving to the airport?

I think its better if the film at the same time first because they cant age and second so they wont lose their edge (but on the other hand they might get tired and do a worse job)

shoot them all at once because; as Stephenie said; her characters don’t age. For continuity this would be ideal. I hope the talks work out to achieve this. Also, while the actors are in character and “in the zone” they should follow through with the whole story. I think they shot the second 2 Star Wars films back to back (if anyone here is old enough to remember), and that worked out well..
