I never liked Robert as Edward from the beginning and *gasp* I still don’t. A lot of people have been converted, but I know many who still dislike him for the role. But obviously, nothing will be changed, and so we’re wiser and aren’t so vocal about it as some of the others were, because it would be pointless.
We do still exist, and we don’t feel like fools =)
Just thought I’d throw that out there.

This was an amazing write up. I am so impressed with how much was conveyed of a day on the set! It was awesome. I am so enthralled by Catherine & by her direction. She seems really amazing… I am just stunned at how this is all progressing.
Also I would like to note that this is the first movie that I have ever wanted to know each detail. Not just what they are doing that is a replica or good adaptation of the book, but it actually interest me of all the little details. These that are in the report i.e. the ‘cans’, the ‘dailies’ it is all such an amazing process. We take for granted sometimes the movies that are created for our entertainment. So many people work so hard even on the ones that flop – it is just nice to have a glimpse into their world. Thank you for the blog entry.

I love reading things like this, and she was so good at explaining it! and the picture close up of Robert, ah.. and what he said during the scene at the restaurant, it was so nice, I like kept reading it over and over!
Kate: I agree, I knew that whoever they picked wouldn’t be good enough, but still, I think they could have found better…..
I think that Robert is great for the role, no matter what other people say. And I think that if you truly loved Twilight you would support him.

Everyones titled to there opinion…
ROb wasn’t my first choice but I am still gonna give him the chance..heck..he’s doing good so far from what I’ve seen.
we don’t all have to agree on stuff…for example Jacob is my favorite character(and I feel there are way more team Edwards out there)and It kind of ticks me off a little when people bad mouth his character but I still am in love Edward too and want Bella to be with Edward. I probably like Jacob for all the reasons other people don’t like him.
We all are entitled to our opinions.

I know we can have different opinions, and that’s fine. I just felt your approach was a little offensive, so that is why I replied.

I also don’t think it’s fair to say people aren’t real fans if they happen to dislike an actor choice. I think what makes us fans is the love for the books we have, which came first. We don’t have to like the movie adaption, but we’re still fans. You didn’t say this, but a lot of people do.. that if someone dislikes Edward or Jacob then they aren’t real fans. I don’t think that’s true either. You don’t have to be completely in love with everything about the item to be a “real fan”. That just comes across as a little shallow (not quite the word I was looking for.. a word that means they don’t have their own opinions… unoriginal? conformist? brainwashed?) to me, people who are in love with everything just because it’s Twilight.

I apologize if I offended..I sometimes speak my mind to freely,actually most of the time I do, It was just really offensive to me the way some haters were..lots took it way to far and I heard some really really offensive and nasty things said then…just trying to stick up for Robert.
but i totally agree with you on the other part of what you wrote.My husband isn’t to big of a fan of the movie but he is still a fan of the books..(he’s team Edward,haha)I like Jacob.
