Is it just me or does it look like Victoria is at the prom???
Yeah, she definitely looked like she was at prom. Maybe it’s their way of setting up for movie two, providing they’re able to do movie two.

I can understand why they might try and do this…to set up for book two (even though she’s not in that much either..) but Edward (and the rest of Cullen’s) would instantly KNOW she was there..

Right, if Victoria is at prom, Edward is going to know about it, and then how can he justify leaving her in New Moon, when he’s aware that she’s out there? Edward can’t purposely put Bella in harm’s way. Does she fool Edward into thinking she’s not a threat?

I think she might be acting like an extra for the prom…the hair is not even red. Because even that would be a good start for New Moon if they thinking of filming is not going to make sense of Edward leaving Bella for her safe.

I am sure she would not be an extra. I doubt they would use a main character when I believe there are tons of extras available…and probably willing to be one for free. (heck, I would even pay them!!) I agree that Edward would sense her as well as victoria but remember Alice is trying to see Bella’s future. We know in book three that Victoria found a way to keep Alice from sensing her. Maybe that plays in this as well. PLus there are TONS of ‘humans’ there and it may be hard to ALice to focus on each person as well as Edward.
I’m a little confused about Victoria being at prom too….. Even if she is just lurking and watching them, Edward would sniff he out. lol. And Edward wouldn’t leave Bella if he knew Victoria wanted revenge…. I suppose they have to end it with the audience on the edge of their seats… so it will turn out alright I’m sure.
By the way, I love love love Rachelle. She’s stunning.

I think it’s much like Voldy in Harry Potter numba 5. He just keeps seeing Voldy EVERYWHERE. to signify that he’s always on his mind. In the Twilight books, Bella is always worried about the other vampires so I think Victoria being there is just a way to tell the audience that she’s still out there.
Personally, I am not worried about Victoria being at prom. I am sure the writers have their reasons. I think that’s a great prediction, caspianna. It could be that or the fact that they are setting everything up for movie two. Great video, by the way

Ok, I’m thinking that Victoria is at prom to (like other people said) leave a cliff hanger. Obviously not everyone who is going to see the movie is a Twilighter so not everyone will know the ins and outs of being a vampire, such as that if Victoria was at prom, Edward would know in a second. Let’s have faith in the movie a little bit, people, because no matter what it is going to be great because it is Twilight!

Victoria IS at the Inn where the prom is being held. While Edward and Bella are dancing and talking in the gazebo in the final scene (on the bench in the book) Victoria is watching them from a 2nd story window at the Inn. And it will be left as a cliffhanger where the audience see’s Victoria as the last shot.
My thoughts on this- Well, again, as a twilighter I’m upset because we KNOW Edward or the other vampires would have smelled/heard/otherwise sensed her being there. And since we know this to be true it messes with the plot of New Moon because Edward wouldn’t have left if he knew Bella was in danger.
My suspicion is that we are to believe that the other vampires do NOT KNOW that she is there. This CAN be believable (by a stretch of our imagination…) since in Eclipse it is known to us that Alice is not able to see her clearly, that Edward hears things as if in a hall with lots of people and he will focus on things. To me, its entirely likely that so many humans at the prom were probably thinking “Edward” and “Bella” and so forth that…possibly…Victoria thinking it from the 2nd floor was drowned out in the thoughts of others. I could explain Alice and Edward not sensing her with that argument.
We know humans have a much stronger scent than Vampires…perhaps since it is requiring so much strength to restrain around all of the humans, and that restraint is keeping them totally focused on their reactions and the whole ‘act human’ thing. And I can believe that argument applies to Jasper, Emmett and Rosalie.
Things that I LIKE about this ending…it even leaves US on the edge of our seats wondering how its going to turn out! (something we haven’t had since the end of Eclipse.) And it also…all but guarantee’s the making of New Moon!!!
So while I think Edward lowering his lips to Bella’s neck would have been enough, Movie producers have their own agenda and…this is someone elses interpretation of the books. I mean, I don’t think Edward would have EVER called Bella a spider-monkey but that’s just me!
So I am I the only one who thinks that it is Rosalie leaving the prom scene. For those of you who have read the books that would be a cliff hanger to lead to the explanation of WHY Rosalie is so angry toward Bella.
