The Twilight Lexicon is thrilled to announce today that Borders has been paying attention to the fans’ requests and has stepped up to the plate to grant us all our wish of having midnight release parties for Breaking Dawn! At this time, we do not have a detailed list of which Borders stores will be participating, but from what we understand, there will be a midnight release party for Breaking Dawn at most Borders, Borders Express, and Waldenbooks around the country. This doesn’t guarantee that every store will host a party, just that most of them will. Anyway you slice it, Borders gets our vote of thanks for being the first major bookstore to give Twilight fans this promise!
If you remember back to this time last year, Borders Media.com hosted a book club feature with Stephenie Meyer about Eclipse. It was a wonderful segment and if you haven’t yet seen it, you can check it out here at BordersMedia.com.
We also know that Borders has many more things like this in store for Twilight fans and supporters of the Twilight Lexicon. We thank them for their work and for being there for the fans along the way. We can’t wait to see what’s next from Borders!
I went to a Border’s party last August for Eclipse, it was really good. Much better than the Barnes and Noble party I went to earlier that night.
Does anyone know if there’s going to be a midnight releasing of The Host?

I hope my Border’s does it. That would make my day. I really need a place to get my book at midnight becasue I have to read it before camp, and I leave on the 3rd. Ah! I can’t wait.
Barnes & Nobles is having a midnight release party! This is a company wide thing! So if you dont have a Borders near you or you just prefer B&N they will be having them!

YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!! I’M SO HAPPY!!! Both B&N and Borders have it??!?!?!?!?! I really hope that is right because there’s a B&N likes 3 minutes from my house, but the Borders is like 45 minutes…..GAH! So excited for BREAKING DAWN!!!!

BYU puts on some amazing parties (for example, for Harry Potter they designed a magical classroom where you could be involved, you were able to take pictures with the characters, and tons more!!!). Thus, it should hopefully be a great party. Check out their website for upcoming details of the event.
I’m too additcted to the BYU Bookstore, I dan’t go by myself anymore, (I buy too much)! Their parties are so good, it would probably be the best one in Utah

-Road trip to the city where Stephenie is doing a BD book signing…hoping that it is in a big city…
-Go to the midnight release party @ the Borders in that city
-Then later on that day-go to the book signing!

I jumped out of my seat when i read this, but i was in class and i looked around and everyone was looking at me, hah so i said sorry and quickly sat down, but i was bubbling with excitement. Now i can stay up all night reading it like HP =D
Why can’t I live in the USA? I’m almost sure that in Germany there won’t be any release party… well… i’m in italy on nthe day it’s released..
I am pretty pissed. Since I reserved my copy at B&N two days after the book’s release date came out. When I called my local B&N to tell them that Lex had posted that about 95% of Borders would be having a Midnight Release Party the woman became frantic and told me that she had no idea if B&N would be having one and it was so many months off and she was just overall frantic. I hope this will be kicking B&N in gear, but in any case I’m going to be going to reserve another copy at Borders because honestly why the heck would you not have a Midnight Release Party…it makes not sense….

Hate to burst anyone’s bubble, but many Barnes and Noble stores have been planning midnight release parties for months… And besides, as Court said, who even knows if Borders will still be around then, as they’re going out of business, unfortunately.
Meg, you have just saved my soul. I’d much rather go to B&N than Borders (they’ve always had a better book selection for Teens than Borders). I STILL have to call them to see about the release parties….

I really want to interview a cast member of ‘Twilight’ for a school project, “Interview your hero”!!! Unfortunately my heroes are Edward Cullen, Isabella “Bella” Swan, and Criss Angel. The Boarders Midnight Release might help me get over my newly found obsession!!!
