I just wanted to make sure that everyone was aware that the Special Edition for Eclipse was all ready on pre-order. The book will include two t-shirt transfers as well as the first chapter of Breaking Dawn. I believe it will also include a full color print of the cover of Breaking Dawn. It will be available on May 31st. You can pre-order the book at the Lexicon’s Amazon Shop.

o.k. if you order it..does it arrive the same day all the other ones are put up in the book stores?or days later? cause I dont know if i would be able to sit around waiting for it if I KNEW there was a copy of it in the book store right down the street from my house. you know what i mean?

I would say don’t preorder it unless you can get same day delivery. I preordered it from Amazon thinking it would come the same day as it was sold in stores, but it didn’t come for 6 days later. =/ After two days of waiting I finnally went to the book store to buy it. I would recommend calling the bookstore and asking them to set one aside for you. That’s what I did, because they told me there were only 3 left. It wasn’t nessacary though, because when I got there, they were unloading a ton of books onto a display in the front of the store.
I’m not too sure, i have to preorder my copy beacuse i live in the U.K and its nor released there until after release in America, so i have to ship mine over via amazon. But if you live in America it will be available on August 2nd in bookshops, you’d get it quicker if you bought it from the shop as you don’t have to wait for it to be posted and all that, but it all depends on where you live.
I’m not sure if i’ll preorder the special edition of eclipse, i already have Eclipse, but then the first chapter of Breaking Dawn would be great!

I know! I’ve got Eclipse already, and I’m sort of trying to save up the little money I have. The only reason I’d be buying it, is for the first chapter.

OMIGOSH! i cannot wait for the book! like, seriously. . . I CANNOT WAIT. i am such a freak, but there it is. i already have eclispe too KayBay, and i am totally going to the bookstore, and reading the first chapter, BIG TIME, if only for about ten minutes. But maybe it’ll be twenty; I will probably re-read it again, and again, and again!
I’m torn too! I don’t want to wait to read the first chapter of BD, but I want all of the other goodies that it comes with! And I don’t need to buy 2 MORE copies of the book!
I also have a copy of Eclipse, but had to pre-order the special edition….my motto is you can’t have enough books about Edward…:)

No, you get T-shirt Transfers.
Also, yes it will be on Stephenie’s site, but most likely not until a month or two after the sell date for the special edition. You also won’t get the T-shirt Transfers or the poster.
And amazon ships the day the book is released, so will get it a day or two later. However, as we saw with the release of the special edition New Moon, most stores didn’t have it for a month after the release date. It took me 2 weeks to find one and even then I had to drive a half and hour away to the store that had it. If you want the book in a timely fashion Pre-ordering this would be a VERY wise thing to do.

Barnes & Noble released New Moon early. Then they released the New Moon special edition early. Then they released Eclipse early. I’m know where I’m preordering the special edition from.
I have this feeling they won;t make the same mistake again. Only 100 copies got out on that B&N pre-order and the trucks with the other books on them were literally turned around. I have a feeling that B&N won;t screw up again. If for no other reason it might get very not pretty in the legal dept.

I already have two copies of Eclipse (one i got right when Eclipse can out, one i got for Christmas) so i don’t think my parents would buy me another one and i don’t really need another one, but I really want those tee-shirt transfers.

I to, have two copies of Eclipse. I got one the day it came out, and my friend got me a signed one for Christmas (i know!!!!!!). I wish I could get another one…. (I already have 3 copies of New Moon… my original, my special edition, and my dad ripped the binding of my original and I flipped so I bought a new “original”) but I know my parents will not let me buy one because I already have a perfectly good one that the binding hasnt even been broken on…. oh well!
I love how particular we all are with our books! I find it is quite essential to have my own copy and a copy that I lend to friends!
So another copy of Eclipse is necessary!

Whats funny is that the store i went to get The Special edition of New Moon had it on sale a week before the release date… and they had the okay from the publisher… really wierd! I have to pick mine up at the store and i am so gettting two cpies… one that is read and i can use the poster adn what ev… and then one to be signed… Does any one know where i can get a first edition (pre special edition) New Moon… can’t get it on amazon, borders, barnes and noble or anything… and i really want another cpy of the first edition… mine is very worn and i want the first editon signed…
Only reaon why barnes and noble does that is becuase thats where she was mainly having the signings… i’m not a barnes and noble fan… so i had to force my self to enter one just to get my books signed… i wonder where the chicago signing for the host will be… cause i will so be there!

My nearest book store is 45 minutes away. But I much rather travel there than pay for shipping and wait. So if I were you I would just buy it at the bookstore. But make sure if they can hold a copy of it for you. Call ahead of time.
Some Barnes & Noble faqs:
If you reserve a copy (which is what they are doing), there will be a copy waiting for you the day the book gets released.
The day a book gets released depends on the publisher and the bookstore. If the book has an SOS (strict on sale) date, that means the store can not sell that book before that date. If they do, they could get in serious trouble. If a book does not have an SOS date, then the book can be placed in the store as soon as it gets shipped.
I have yet to see SOS dates for Eclipse SE and Breaking Dawn, but that does not mean there won’t be one. They may just add it later like they did for Eclipse when it first came out.

i don’t know if this is a stupid question but i’ll ask anyway, i know i read somewhere that it was recommended you buy the special edition if you could physical see it as there were issues with NM. I’m overseas, if i do take the risk of pre-ordering, will i get the additional stuff of tshirt transfers, poster etc.? or is this only available in the U.S.? and if so, will amazon legally not be allowed to ship it overseas?
